Next door to the Opera house! Above Old Quarter Acoustic cafe! Across the street from Molly Pub, Old Cellar bar, Salt water grill and Apache Mexican food! Same block as Mama Theresa’s, Rudy and Pacos, O’Malley’s, and Old Galveston Club! Taquilos Mexican, Sky Bar sushi, Vargas Cut and Catch, and Little Daddy’s Gumbo diner are next block west! One block to the east is Trattoria La Vigna!

The space
This is the historical Melrose building, over 100 years old, and it used to be a brothel (hence the many doors in the hallway) for the sailors that would come to port. It has 7 other full time residents, and is located above Magpies Nest, a cute shop with home goods, and above Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe which has live music on weekends.

There is a flight of stairs to enter the building.

There is free 2 hour parking to the east of the building, which is enforced 8am-6pm, and there is pay to park immediately in front of the building. The 2 hour parking is free after 6pm, however if there is a show/event at the Opera House parking will become more competitive than normal.

The apartment has a shared, coin operated washer and dryer available for guest to use, please be courteous of other residents.

This is other people’s permanent residents, please be courteous and no loud activities after 10pm.

I am a B.O.I. and have grown up in Galveston my whole life! I have travelled for surfing, and even won the Texas State Championship for surfing. Galveston is a wonderful place to be, which is why I haven’t left!
