The Space

The Room is the master room in a 3 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom apartment in a true luxury hi-rise building. This room is pretty much exactly the same as my other listing the positive being that this room has it's own private en-suite bathroom.

The apartment is on one of the top floors (40 floors in the building) and has floor to ceiling windows with views of the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Hudson, etc.

The kitchen has granite counter-tops and stainless steel appliances. The building has a gym (just renovated - no amenity fees), laundry service, sun deck and concierge.

The Apartment is located right on the edge of Hell's Kitchen (42nd between 9th & 10th). There are many restaurants, bars, and the younger crowd is very prevalent here. Your are 2 avenues away from Times Square (5 minute walk) and a 2 minute walk away from Port Authority Transportation Hub. You can get anywhere in the city by subway or bus from here - very convenient.

Room Details: 20 x 15 with South, East, and West views

The Apartment is very well kept and the room is always spotless. My Dad is a professional photographer so I have an eye for artwork. The apartment has been decorated in a modern sleek style which is represented by both the furniture and artwork.

Utilities in the apartment include internet (high speed - 50mb download), cable TV, electricity and water. There are no extra costs for utilities.

You would be sharing the apartment with two roommates, both are working professional one male and one female.

They are respectful of everyone's space and privacy but also like being sociable, if that's what your looking for.

The room has it's own Living Room with a 51 Inch Flat-screen TV, epic Bose Sound System and Apple TV.

The room has a Queen Size Bed with a large very comfortable leather couch. The place could host 3 people - 2 in the bed and 1 on the couch. I also have a queen sized air mattress which can be easily set up in the room.

Non smokers is a must.

I'd say I'm a great host and have always had people ranting and raving about the place. Happy to answer any questions and hopefully you'll be looking to stay here.

  • Tom's place was wonderful-the views, the location, and the apartment itself were all spectacular. It was a perfect venue for our brief stay in New York, perfectly located/within walking distance to theaters, restaurants and subway. Tom was so sweet-he took the time to chat with us and give us awesome recommendations for the local NY experience. The apartment has a great setup, the best bed, a kitchen, work out facility and great doormen! We will definitely return!

  • I was stranded during hurricane Sandy and went to Tom's apartment for the evening. Not only was the place clean, huge and had its own en-suite, Tom was super lovely and helped me with my plans and kept my spirits high. It was super modern and the view was the best I've ever experience in New York (albeit half of the city was black). I am so glad that he was able to help me and I'm going to tell all my friends to stay there when they come to NY. It's super close to all the transport and there's some cool bars and eateries 2minutes away on ninth.

Even with the late notice I have lovely clean sheets, folded towels and a choccie on my pillow. I watched TV on a huge flatscreen in my room and managed to do a load of laundry too.

Tom really was the best host, and his housemate is really friendly and helped me with some nighttime party plans, even when I left.

Hugely recommend this place, it's awesome!

  • I stayed 1 night at Toms place, but wish I had been able to stay longer. Tom has really put a huge amount of time and effort in getting the room looking good. There is a gym and terrace on the 4th floor which I made good use of. The location is great, really close to Times Square and the subway system, and being on the 37th floor the views from the room are absolutely incredible. Tom is a great guy is always there to help and offer advice on where to go and what to do. I would highly recommend this apartment to anybody looking to explore the city or who simply needs somewhere to stay. You'll be sad to leave. I will certainly be back.

  • I stayed one night because my apt was getting painted. I have been over before so i wasn't expecting anything new but i was WRONG. Tom has been pimping his place out the last 12 months and he has art alll over the place and a nice TV set. Basically it is baller. Great time sitting on the couch playing FIFA all night looking over the greatest city in the world. Thanks buddy.

Hi, I'm Tom. I'm from Scotland and have been living in New York for the last 4 years. I'm a really high energy guy with a go getter mind set. Really positive outlook on life and see everything as an opportunity to have fun. I'm really social, love going out and am always looking to meet new people, experience new things and get myself out there. I'm also very hard working and extremely driven - always got something exciting going on business wise. I love going out, whether its for dinner, to bars or clubbing - I'm big into my nightlife. I'm also a huge movie buff so love seeing the latests flicks. Fitness is huge passion of mine, keeps me focused. Running, soccer, weights and recently Crossfit....cant speak highly enough of it. I am a huge fan of House/Electronic Dance Music (love Swedish House Mafia). I also love and I mean love Nachos. On TV my favorite show is a British Comedy called The Inbetweeners...absolutely amazing. As for travelling I've been really lucky to have traveled a lot (It's a British thing) pretty much been most places from all over Eastern Europe, most of North America, parts of Asia as well as living in New Zealand for a year. My 2014 New Years Resolution is I cant go anywhere I've ever been before....Brazil, Ibiza and Colombia are all planned so far for this year. Style wise when I'm traveling I like things clean and modern. As you can tell from my Apartment its always in tip top condition and very stylish.
