THE APARTMENT:
It's an unique fully renovated penthouse, carefully decorated, within a beautiful and charismatic 19th Century building, which was also totally recovered. On the 5th floor, with elevator, Air conditionig and plenty of light, always keeping its historical soul and features. It's charm and character is due to the tasteful combination of stylish design and the enhancement of traditional architecture, such as wooden floors and Portuguese tiles. The decoration also combines modern and sophisticated design with vintage pieces. Big windows, balconies and the rooftop terrace gives this apartment a very special brightness & charm.
It has 3 bedrooms, one is on the mezanine. Two bedrooms with big windows and access to a balcony and 1 bedroom on the Mezzanine floor. On common areas you will find an open space with a fully equipped design kitchen with access to the terrace, and a beautiful living and dining room with big windows to access the terrace and enjoy a fantastic river view. The apartment is fully equipped, with dishwasher, clothes washing machine, air conditioning, cable TV, Wifi internet (fiber - high speed) and quality bed linen. This place is special, besides the amazing river view where you see the statue of Cristo Rei and the famous Lisbon bridge, you will find a big comfortable sofa, strategically elevated on the terrace for your relaxing times. It has also a table and high chairs for you to enjoy a meal or a sunset drink with friends and family…The sunset is speechless with the sun reflecting on the river and all the colors of the sky .
THE LOCATION:
Ideally located, just a few meters from the Sé Cathedral (200m) and very close to Sao Jorge Castle in Alfama/ Sé district. The apartment's street is very nice, with great places to eat, including the most well known Fado restaurants.
Alfama is Lisbon's most emblematic quarter and one of the most rewarding for walkers and photographers thanks to its medieval alleys and outstanding views. Wander down through Alfama's steep, narrow, cobblestoned streets which gives it that authentic, typical charm. Here you will capture all of Lisbon's spirit, you will hear the sounds of Fado coming out of a restaurant, taste authentic traditional meals, and touch some dazzling tilework… these are some of the trademarks of the most photographed area of Lisbon.
You will be at walking distance to Rossio, Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto, the city castle, the city most amazing viewpoints, and all other historical sights. Have a great time and profit from the nice apartment and neighborhood. Though, please respect all the care I put in the refurbishment of the flat and the decoration. Also please respect the neighbours, its a residential building and neighbors need to rest, please dont make noise after 11pm. I hope guests treat my apartment as their own. :)
Check in is normally after 15h00 and check out until 11h00. If I don't have guests before and after you, you are welcome to come in earlier and leave the apartment later on (on request). If I have guests you can always leave your lugagge from 11am onwards on the check in day :)
