Hi, we had a lovely time in Rome, the appartment was nice, Trastevere a really nice neighbourhood. Francesca and her husband gave us all the information we needed.
The apartment was spacious and check in was easy. The sights, shopping and restaurants are conveniently located. Our hosts were helpful and quick to answer our questions. The only surprise was that it was a third story walk up which I didn't find in the original AirBnB posting. That was difficult for my 73-year old stepfather who was traveling with us.
The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The street below had a yummy pizzeria across from us that we enjoyed twice. Thanks to our hosts for recommending it! It closes at 2 am so be aware that you may hear it if you're a light sleeper.
June thanks so much!!
When my guests are so satisfied with their holiday, it makes me happy!!
My apartment is on the second floor, with a few steps and has soundproof windows!! Finally was a great pleasure for me to have you as my guests in Rome and to know that my house was perfect for you!!
Francesca was a wonderful host who made our stay in Rome very easy and comfortable. She booked us a taxi to and from FCO airport and her flat; her friend met us with the keys and a walkthrough of the flat; she let us do a late checkout at 17:00 since our flight was late in the evening! The flat itself was well appointed with 2 comfortable bathrooms, a washer, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. A great stay in Trastevere and a fantastic, professional host that I'd recommend to anyone who wants an easy stay in Rome!
Dear Wendy!! I am very happy that your stay in Rome was fantastic and thank you for all the compliments on my house!!
Finally I'm delighted that you have spent a wonderful days in my house in the heart of Rome and the customer satisfaction is the most important thing for me!!
Francesca and her husband were charming hosts. They greeted us at the door and answered our many questions about the neighborhood and went through the apartment in detail with us. They even helped carry our bags in (and back out) and arranged for a driver and van to pick up our 5 adults + toddler from the airport. They also had a small baby crib set up for us and our 2-year old slept great in it.
The location is fantastic - roughly 3 blocks from a taxi stand and tram stop. There is a grocery store (Conad) about a block and a half away, a wonderful salumeria (Antica Casciara) a block away, two blocks away there is a cafe on the corner (of Viale Trastevere) that is open for breakfast and has decent pastries and cappuccinos, and a bank (ATM/Bancomat) a block away as well. Everything you need is close by. Unlike many reviews that you see about other Trastevere apartments, this apartment is very quiet at night.
The apartment is a 3rd floor walk-up (2nd floor by the European standard, where street-level is floor 0). There are 40 steps arranged in 3 flights from the street to the apartment. Being 6 months pregnant, with a toddler and traveling with said toddler's grandparents - the stairs were very challenging. Also, there is a narrow spiral staircase in the apartment that leads to a small loft where the washing machine is located.
There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms - one bathroom has a standup shower, the other has a bathtub. The main room has a table and chairs and a sofa that seats 2.
I would not recommend this apartment for anyone with any significant physical constraints. We were under the impression that the apartment would only be a "few steps" from the street. We did manage the stairs, and did enjoy the location very much and would recommend the apartment - so long as people are very clear about the number of stairs.
Dear Darcie, it was a great pleasure to have you and your family as my guests in Rome and to know that my house was perfect for you!! My apartment is on the second floor, and like all ancient & magical houses of Trastevere, don't have a lift :) Finally, I'm delighted that you have spent a fantastic days in my apartment in the wonderful area of Trastevere, in the heart of Rome & the customer satisfaction is the most important thing for me!! Thank you!!
Appartement très pratique et agréable au cœur du quartier bouillonnant et sympathique du Trastevere. Idéalement situé pour découvrir Rome et pour vivre l'ambiance extraordinaire du Trastevere.
