The apartment is located in a residential area in the center. It is quiet and cozy and has everything you need for a pleasant staying in Reykjavik. The buses stop right next to it and every thing else is with in 10 min walking distance.
This flat is the ideal place for your stay in Reykjavík.
It is very well located in a quiet street in center of town in just ten minutes you can visit most of the downtown attractions.
Right around the corner (less than 30 sec walk) there is a bus stop which you can use for the flybus or excursion pickup & drop off and the central bus station is just 10 min, walking distance plus there is always a free parking in the street in front of the house.
The flat has two rooms (a living and dining area with sofa bed and a bedroom with king size bed that can be split in two single bed) a fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom with tub, shower and a washer, plus a high speed internet access and a cable TV.
It is suitable for up to 4 people. I do not charge extra fee for children or teenagers.
Down the street there is a little supermarket (1 min walk) and close by (5 min) there is a 24h market, a hamburger joint just accross the street, take away pizza and thai food restaurants plus various other restaurants and bars, and just right across the street is one of Reykjavik's renowned swimming pool.
In just few minutes you can visit the Reykjavik Art museum, go to Hallgrimskirkja church or walk down Laugavegurinn the main shopping street which is also home to many bars, nightclubs and restaurants, or you can take a stroll alongside the sea shore and gaze at the view over the bay.
The check in and check out time is flexible, when possible.
Guests have access to free wifi, cable TV, washing machine and a fully equipped kitchenette.
I´m always available for chats and advices and I do enjoy a good conversation with my guests, but I'm also very respectful of your privacy.
I love my neighborhood because it is quiet but yet close to the nightlife, bars and restaurants, and all the mayor sites of the Center. We also have our "own" swimming pool across the street and a very nice public park just down the (email hidden) Reykjavik art museum.
The flybus stops just around the corner (less than 30 sec walk) and the city buses central station is with in 5 min walk, and the BSI bus central is 10 min away, plus there is plenty of free parking in my street.
My neighborhood is one of the first in Reykjavik to be planed and designed by the authorities it was built around 1935 and has strong funkis characteristics, I enjoy very much taking short walks around it and sense the past.
We had a lovely stay in Ragga's apartment. It was comfortable, clean, warm and well equipped and it felt like home for a few days. It is centrally located, which is very convenient for shopping and for tours out of town.
We met Ragga a couple of times during our stay. She is approachable, friendly and hospitable. The communication before we arrived was very responsive, which helped with our planning.
We both loved Iceland so much I am sure we will come back one day and would love to stay here again when in Reykjavik.
The reservation was canceled 89 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The flat was in a great location. Easy to get to from the bus station either walking or taking a small bus - only a few minutes. The host was there to help us find the key and give us a brief welcome which was great. Comfortable, warm and exactly what we were after for our brief stay.
Apartment clean, well apointed. Closed to everything, quiet. Welcoming host. We recommend this place.
Ragnhildur's place in Reykjavik was even more delightful in person. I was happy to have found this place, which was charming and cozy, but with plenty of room. It was the perfect place to unwind after a strenuous journey, on a quiet street, but within easy walking distance of downtown. We really enjoyed Ragnhildur as our host and she answered any questions we had. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thank you, We really enjoyed Ragnhildur! :)
Ragga's apartment was perfect for our short stay in Iceland. It was really cozy and had everything we needed, toilet was great and had hot water. Apartment was located just 2 minutes away from village hostel, which you can use as the drop off and pick up point for all tours in Iceland. Also close to a 24 h supermarket about 10 minutes away by foot! Would highly recommend this!
This is a lovely apartment in a nice spot in Reykjavic.
It's not right in the centre, but only a few minutes walk to all of the main sights.
We stayed for 5 nights and had a great time.
My husband and I stayed at Ragga's apartment while we visited Iceland. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and within very close walking distance of great shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. There is also a pickup/drop-off location for the FlyBus and many tours/excursions right around the block from the apartment at the "Hostel Village"
Ragga was extremely helpful and prompt in all of our communication and even recommended some restaurants for my husband and I to try out. Prior to our trip, she answered all of our questions and during our stay we knew she was just right upstairs if we had any issues.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Iceland and wanting a comfortable, clean, affordable place to stay near the city center!!
my husband and i stayed at ragga & herman's apt while exploring iceland, and it was just perfect! even before we arrived, ragga gave us great advice for websites to look at. check-in was super-smooth even though we arrived at midnight! while we were there, herman recommended places to go eat and where we might see the northern lights.
the apt was warm and spotlessly clean and the beds (two twins pushed together to make a king) were very comfortable. it had everything we needed, and we knew ragga was just upstairs in case we needed anything else.
the apt is located in a quiet residential area of reykjavik, about a 10-minute walk to the center of town. it was nice to be so close, and yet have a little distance from the touristy center.
iceland is an amazing place to visit. we look forward to going back for a longer stay next time, and there's nowhere i'd rather stay than at ragga's!
PLEASE NOTE: almost every restaurant in iceland serves whale. we learned that it's not for the locals, but rather for the tourists. please do not order whale when you see it on the menu, and let the restaurant know you are opposed to the killing of whales to feed the tourists! thank you!
Everything was exactly as we had anticipated. The apartment was perfect for what we needed and Ragga provided all we could have wanted for a smooth arrival. Even though she wasn't around for a couple of days we were given contact details for people who were around to assist if we needed anything, but we didn't need a thing! I couldn't find an iron (which is not to say there wasn't one somewhere) but other than that all the essentials and more including a shoe horn are at your disposal. A word of advice for those utilising the nearby hostel as a pick up/drop off point - the current name is Hostel Village but it's still somewhat known as Floki Hotel. Thanks Ragga for a perfect spot in wonderful Reykjavik!
