If you want to have a real Amsterdam experience, enjoy this beautiful and spacious appartement in the centrally located 'Pijp': this very hip neighborhood is one of the most cosmopolitan and vibrant districts of Amsterdam!!
The house is perfectly located, as it's in a quiet street just a minutes walk from plenty of restaurants, bars and other attractions!
Futhermore, not only the house and neighborhood will give you a sense of the local life, I have also made a book with all my favorite restaurants, bars, cafés and clubs located in the 7 best districts of Amsterdam, so you'll really get to 'experience how Amsterdam locals live'!
Ask me about the possible airport pick-up!!
A very typical Amsterdam apartment in a classical Amsterdam house!
You'll have the entire appartement to yourselves!
The apartment is light and spacious!
The fully equiped kitchen has wide opening doors to the comfortable balcony, giving you a special view into the hidden green courtyard! These indoor gardens are typical in Amsterdam. You can choose to have your meal at the large dining room table inside or sitting outside enjoying the weather on the relaxing balcony!
In the centre of the house is a comfortable couch, where you can relax from a long day of sightseeing. And from which you may want to watch one the available dvd's (FYI there is no cable).
As is typical in most 'de Pijp' houses, not much space is used for the bathroom. However, after a long day out, it has the perfect shower to freshen up.
The front of the house has a very cute french balcony where you can open the doors widely and can brilliantly enjoy an afternoon drink in the sun!
The bed holds a unique rolling table, which is great for placing your laptop or books on, or for a romantic breakfast in bed.
Obviously there will be a clean sheets and a set of towels!

Besides that just some common sense rules:
I trust that you will be respectful to the neighbors. Meaning, no crazy slamming of doors, stampedes on the stairs or throwing down cigaret buds into somebody's backyard etc.
I expect you'll handle my apartment and everything in it with care.
Smoking is allowed only outside on the balcony.

Veerle's flat was awesome! Perfect for a couple -- lots of space (except for the tiny WC! but such is Europe), everything worked perfectly, including the nice little kitchen for when we didn't feel like eating out. Veerle's directions for getting to the flat were thorough and easy to understand. And the best part was the neighbourhood -- exactly the kind of area where you'd want to live, with cute little shops, cafes, and restaurants. Veerle even provided a booklet detailing all her favourite spots, which was really lovely and helpful. Also, the flat was far enough away from the tourists, but close enough to all the attractions, especially the museums and Vondelpark. We would definitely stay here again -- soon I hope!
Third time at Veerle's and feels like home away from home in Amsterdam by now. Always glad to be back!
My experience in Veerle's apartment was really good. It is beautiful, very big, luminous, well furnished and also practical, with almost anything you can need. The heating works perfect and we were really warm even in very cold days. The balcony, kitchen and bed are very nice. The bathroom is super small, but it works fine so it´s not a problem at the end.
The location was great as well, 20 min walk from the center, in a quiet and cool area with lots of restaurants, a supermarket, trams and other places near us.
We felt very comfortable in the apartment, and the price is great as well. I really recommend it.
Veerle's apt. is located in a quite street at the heart of the Pijp. Many cafés, restaurants and bars near by and the Albert Cuyp market only 5 min. away. The apt. itself is beautifully decorated, full of light and very well heated. The toilet/ bathroom is indeed tiny -no room to get dressed in there, but since we came just for few days we didn't mind. The staircase leading the is very steep- and not easy to climb while carrying your luggage. Take that under consideration. Veerle herself was very attentive, gave detailed directions on how to arrive the apt., and many tips for the area. We had a great time!
The place was gorgeous! Really clean, tidy , spacious and perfect for exploring Amsterdam. Small bathroom but it didn't matter, the place had everything we needed to make our visit special. We followed all Veerles instructions but didn't actually meet her but she was very responsive. Thanks for having us!
I was in Amsterdam for a trade show at the RAI. It was walking distance from Veerle's apartment, about a 20 minute each way so was a good way to start the day. The apartment was perfect. Everything i needed, really nice open feel and super comfortable bed. Great neighbourhood with plenty of interesting things going on and central to roam out further from. The only one thing not good for me was the very steep stairs to get to the 2nd floor with my big heavy suitcase of samples! But i made it and it was worth the haul! Thanks so much Veerle...
Living at Veerle's place during me and my sister's visit in Amsterdam this January was a very pleasant experience. It was easy to find and get in, and we felt very much "at home". We enjoy walking and seeing the city from every aspect, so the placement was OK for us.
Veerle was very fast to answer, so the booking was no problem, and the amount of information was covering everything we needed to know. Veerle has also used time and effort of making her own recomendations for sightsseing, eating and drinking while being in Amsterdam - and this was really helpfull.
I can only recoment anyone visiting Amsterdam to book this apartment :-)!
Friendly and helpful!
