About this listing
Nice cheery L-shaped room in 3 bedroom flat Centrum Den Haag
Room w bunk bed (single + double/couch) , 2 windows, dresser , desk + chair
Full kitchen, bath w Jacuzzi WIFI + Cable 10 min walk Centrum & 10 min tram to beach
No real house rules except the normal requests to clean up kitchen if you use it, and to be considerate with noise very late at night or very early in morning.
Further, I have no problem with smokers but would ask that you please smoke on front portiek or on back balcony not in the flat.
The house is 30 minutes far from the centre, so not too comfortable.
The room is small but quite good for a couple; only one thing: there's no key in the room. The house was a little bit dirty and unkempt, like the Jacuzzi, the toilet and the kitchen. Paul is a nice person and funny and received us well.
Paul was a fantastic host again, couldn't have been better and we had a brilliant time in den haag. Will certainly be coming back to stay with Paul in the future!
Great stay overall - very casual and laid back atmosphere with several poeple coming and going from the apartment for the duration of my visit (ten nights). Paul was mostly gone because there was a slight room shortage, but his wonderful friend and tenant was there and made a great tour guide and excellent host! Its a good place for the price and works for a short stay.
Paul was a very welcoming host; nice and friendly. It was really good to be able to speak with an American. The bed room is quaint and cozy and I enjoyed my stay. Thanks for showing me around Paul.
Paul's place has a very homely and relaxed feel to it. Paul is around to chat to and is able to offer some great tips for getting around the city. The room was small but ok for 2 people and is fine if you're not planning to be there all day!
We enjoyed our stay in The Hague!
The apartment is in a great location. It's a very easy walk to several tram lines or directly into the city center itself.
The room is small so it may be difficult for a longer stay. Be aware that despite what the description said, smoking did occur in the house. Also, the kitchen and bathroom were sometimes left dirty for several days (food out on the stove, floor of the tub/shower dirty).
Paul is very helpful and is always willing to chat. When I experienced internet problems I told him and he immediately called the company and the problem was resolved very quickly.
Pual was an excellent host! He provided us with good insight on things to do in The Hague. Very welcoming and would definitely recommend him.

About the Host, Paul
I'm an American Expat living now 19 years in the Netherlands , with three daughters all now living in the US. I have traveled a lot over the last 25 + years for both work and pleasure and really enjoy meeting people so the idea of Air B&B appealed to me.
I have varied interests but I am very much an outdoors person , sailing, biking, camping, skiing etc. and I am as well a classical musician and a tournament bridge player. I love to travel and meet people and have been doing just that since my teenage years when I hitchhiked by myself with hair to my waist , a biker jacket and a backpack from Washington DC to San Francisco in the middle of the Hippy Era 1971 . ... cant say I regret it !!
Back to the present: I renovated my flat in the Hague 8 years ago when my two teenage daughters still lived in the Netherlands, spent weekends with me and I set up two bedrooms in my 3 bedroom flat as their rooms . Now that they are not here except in the summers when my oldest daughter also usually visits from NYC I occasionally rent out a room mostly to interns/foreign students and now I am just starting with Air B&B.
I look forward to welcoming you to my home, and to my adopted city of Den Haag.
