Shoreditch is located in Zone 1 of Central London and is popular with artists & creative types.
The area is teaming with bars, restaurants, nightclubs, galleries, street markets and boutique shops.
If you are looking for peace & tranquillity then this is not the neighbourhood for you.
Tabernacle Street is also moments from the City of London and is therefore popular with business travellers.
The apartment is:
• In a safe, central part of town.
• Moments from the City Of London (Financial District)
• Handy for the restaurants, clubs and bars of Shoreditch, Hoxton & Clerkenwell
• In the heart of 'TechCity'
• Easy access to all the tourist attractions the capital has to offer.
• You can walk to St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London, Museum of London & Tate Modern Art Gallery
• A few tube stops from the West End – theatre and retail district
• A short tube ride to Westminster, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.
Being so close to all bars, restaurants and clubs is one of the many reasons our guests love staying in Shoreditch. Tabernacle Street is a side street and one of the quietest in the neighbourhood but there can be noise from offices and bars. If this is an issue you should probably stay outside zone 1.
All of London's attractions and landmarks are within easy reach. Old Street station is on the doorstep and Liverpool Street and Moorgate Stations are nearby. Numerous major bus routes are also just a short walk from the front door.
Taxis can be hailed from City Road and you can hire bicycles at the end of the street.
We can provide guests with Oyster Cards which provide quick and cheap travel across the city using public transport.
Other Things to Note
The apartment is on the 2nd floor accessed by stairs. We are sure you'll love the space but don't just take our word for it. Please read the reviews from our recent guests.
We don't have a big list of house rules. The apartment is our home in London and all we ask is that you leave the property in the condition you find it and be considerate to our neighbours. Please no parties.
I've booked Peter's and James' flat for a colleague of mine who was coming from Canada to work in London for two weeks.
The flat is conveniently located within 10 minutes walk to our office in Old street. (and tube station).
Paul and his wife enjoyed staying at the flat and the location was great for Paul's wife, who was sightseeing in London while Paul was working.
I will definitely book again if the need arises!
Peter and James were great organising the check in and the communication was accurate and frequent.
Couldn't ask for more! Incredible location - a stone's throw from Old Street - yet quietly tucked away from noisy City Road. James met me upon arrival and carried 2! overweight suitcases up the stairs for me, even though I insisted he share the load. Gentleman he is.
Another - pleasant surprise - James had thoughtfully stocked the fridge for my first day - including croissants, OJ (plus prosecco!), milk, and other pantry basics. The one time I needed to get in touch, James answered straight away and all was sorted. I stayed for a month, and would gladly have stayed longer.
AMAZING! Highlight was the bed that was comparable to a 5 star hotel. Due to my work I was only catching about 4 hours of sleep a night but I have to say it was the best 4 hours I've had in months.
Peter and James were great, communication was timely so that everything was super clear. They were also super accommodating as I got in quite late from Paris. The apt. has all the amenities you need and they even included some bread, juice, milk etc. upon arrival so you had something to munch on which was a lifesaver. Neighborhood is the best you can ask for in terms of bars and restaurants. I would recommend anyone staying here and if they'll have me, will definitely be hitting them back up when I'm in London again!!!
This is a clean, beautifully decorated apartment, with comfy bed, lots of space and everything you could need - including really great coffee! :) Peter and James were very friendly, welcoming hosts who told us everything we needed to know and were flexible with check-in/check-out. The apartment is close to several tube-stations that takes you all over town. The nearby area is fun and happening, with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. If you are a light sleeper there is some noise during the night - as it states in the description - but nothing that bothered us, we would love to come back. Thank you so much Peter & James!
Peter & James were very accommodating and the list of instructions on how to use everything in the apartment was so detailed and extremely useful. The neighborhood is convenient to shops, dining and public transportation. The apartment is equipped with Wifi that made it easy to work and connect. I would recommend this flat for either a business or leisure trip as it has everything you would need to have a pleasant stay. I would love to come back and stay on my next visit.
I've just stayed in this fab apartment for 6 nights. Loved it! Great location, beautifully-designed and equipped flat, with everything you could possibly need. Peter was friendly and helpful during pre-visit comms, and met me on the day to show me around. He even helped me with my luggage up the spiral staircase! He was very flexible over check-in and out times which I really appreciated (as I was arriving and departing on long-haul flights at weird times, and was really jetlagged).
The flat has everything you need. The bed is super-comfy. The coffee machine is fab. There is a great guide to the flat and the area, and you are encouraged to make use of store cupboard items which are plentiful - this is great and avoids you having to buy a whole box of dishwasher tablets etc when you only need a few! I spent a lot of time in the flat and found it really relaxing. I enjoyed discovering the local area with its plentiful shops, bars and restaurants. Its proximity to Old Street tube is unbeatable.
There is quite a lot of noise at night due to the pub next door, so bear that in mind if you are a light sleeper. The local business opposite also starts fairly early in the morning. But it does say on the listing that this is not a quiet location.
This was my first Air BNB experience and I was really impressed. I will definitely be back to stay in this flat again. Thank you Peter for a wonderful stay!
