Good sized lounge/dining room with sofas, TV, WiFi and fire, fully fitted kitchen with AGA and utility room.

Watch the sunset on our deck overlooking the marina with table and seating for 6. Cot available.

NO PETS - Parking opposite in Dart Marina - £8 per day

The space
An old fishermans cottage built circa 1890, it has been tastefully refurbished to a very high standard. The original bread oven is still in the lounge but no longer in use. Modern bathrooms throughout with a utility room containing washing machine and iron.

There is a fabulous view of Dartmouth Naval College from the lounge area, which is beautifully lit up at night. And there is an even better view from the top bedroom, which overlooks the river Dart and estuary.

The Dartmouth Steam Train can be seen from the decking, and clearly heard whistling as it leaves Kingswear on it's way to and from Paignton - a real treat for kids and adults alike!

Where you’ll be

Kingswear, England, United Kingdom

Kingswear is a beautiful village with general store, coffee shop and a post office, two pubs and regular car and passenger ferries across the river to Dartmouth.

Pubs are The Steam Packet - which is a four minute walk away and in a fantastic location overlooking the estuary. It has quirky decor and provides a great menu, including pizzas made in their own pizza oven. There is also The Ship Inn, which is a more traditional locals pub, which also has great outdoor live music in the summer.

The Steam Railway station is within 5 minutes walk where trips to Paignton can be made with stops at Greenways (Agatha Christies home - National Trust) and we are also on the South West Coast path.

A short walk from the house north eastwards towards the end of Waterhead Creek will bring you to the childrens play area with swings, benches and open grass to picnic on.

There is car parking available opposite at Darthaven Marina, it costs £8 per day and they have capacity for 320 cars.
