Welcome to Queenstown and thank you for checking this listing!
Come stay and enjoy our home which is located on 2 acres of land. We have a comfortable, warm and rustic home. Our home offers all the basic amenities you are used to at home including:
- Wireless Internet
- A fully equipped kitchen
- Off street parking available
In order to make your stay as comfortable as possible we will provide you with a nice breakfast to start the day! Choice of Continental or Cooked.
The main bedroom has several nice features: own hand basin, go directly through sliding door to bathroom, own tv and doors directly to outside for indoor/outdoor flow. It is also a good sized room.
Our home is also ideal as a retreat from busy lives, as often, the only sound is that of the birds.
It is just a short drive to the various ski fields and the area is ideal for those who want peace and quiet. It is a pleasant 10 minute drive to Queenstown which is known as the adventure capital of New Zealand, with its stunning mountain, lake surrounds and plentiful tourist activities, shopping, restaurants.
A great place to make day trips from, to Wanaka, Milford Sound and City of Invercargill.
Our past professions (we are in our 50's) are Police Officer for 30 years and Primary Schoolteacher. Have had five children but now the nest is empty. We love travelling and enjoy meeting other travellers and revelling in their stories of life experiences and travels.
We are looking forward to welcome you in the near future!
We would like guests to use what we have with care and consideration. Children are welcome. Animals no, due to not wishing to upset our elderly cat.
Our stay here was perfectly adequate, she got a bit irrational and came out yelling when we were just warming up some stuff in the microwave after a long day driving, but other then that she was a welcoming host. the rooms were large, but the bed squeaked terribly bad. Beautiful acreage though, The fall colors were spectacular. I would recommend for a budget BnB without a doubt.
In response to Erich's description of me. I do not yell at people but I do get concerned when people take over my kitchen with out asking. I am very happy to oblige with anybody's request to help them have an enjoyable stay and I went to some lengths to make up an extra bed for these four as the room is only set up for 3 usually. An unfair comment from Erich. I have had an enormous amount of happy people so the key is to check with the hostess about what is appropriate in each situation.
Kaye and Max are a very nice couple and welcoming hosts, they gave us very good hints about what we can do in Queenstown and Wanaka. We enjoy our stay. The view over the mountains is very impressing.
The rooms are clean and roomy, the breakfast was fine.
We would stay there again.
This is a very nice villa a bit off Queenstown.
Nice mountain views really impressed us.
Kaye's house was in a lovely location and was very clean. She was very easy to communicate with!
Kaye was a very welcoming host to her cozy place right outside of Queenstown. Very friendly atmosphere and a good place to stay.
Kaye greeted us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of her property and our accommodation, which was neat and quite adequate. The neighborhood was secluded and quiet, located approximately 15 minutes out of Queenstown.
We thanks Kaye for everything she did 4 us，she is a great host. Her house is big，tidy and beautiful, we enjoy viewing stars in the evening , i promise it's a impressive beautiful scene.

Hi There. I am married to Max and we have had five children. All over 20 now. We have travelled to the Uk. a couple of times but more so to Australia, Fiji and Rarotonga where we enjoy the sun and peace. We enjoy meeting other travellers as we intend to do more travel ourselves and enjoy hearing their stories. Our home is not a palace as it has had years of having normal family life but best described as rustic, comfortable and homely on two acres, being 10 minutes from Arrowtown, Queenstown and our international airport. Our views are spectacular looking towards Queenstown's famous ski mountain, Coronet Peak. If you are after company of a couple in their 50's who have lived in this district over 30 years, or you may be after peace and quiet, then this is where that is. We enjoy watching Rugby, have an appreciation of wine and enjoy meeting all age groups.
