About This Listing
Hi, my home is a 15 minute walk from Downtown Vancouver and a 10 minute walk from 2 nearby commuter trains to get you to/from the airport or several downtown stops.
Your bright 2nd floor room room has a queen sized Serta in pine bed frame with a matching pine wardrobe for your clothes. You have your own bathroom and access to second bathroom shower.
Amenities: wireless internet, antique desk in your room, living room has massive TV projector and sound system for a great movie watching experience! You are welcome to the kitchen and Sunday mornings I make guests pancakes(homemade and darn good!) I have pretty well all the basics for cooking if you like eating in.
Running/biking trails are just 5 minutes away and you can ride, roll or run right to our famous Stanley Park or the aquarium! Very cool Mt Pleasant neighborhood loaded with funky reasonably restaurants and pubs for the carnivore or vegetarian!
If you are a paraglider, I'm happy to escort you to the local training hill or lower mainland area launches if I am going flying.
Great location close to downtown and transportation("Car-to-go" is in the hood too!). I think you'll like my place!
An upcoming neighborhood for unique shops, eating, history and proximity to recreation trails. Two community fitness centres within walking distance. Also, 3 new microbreweries very close to me for beer lovers to try and at least 4 more within a half hours walk too!
Yes, use Translink website for easy bus planning.
No guests, late night movies okay, just switch from home theatre to projector speakers. Same goes for chatting, just keep it low after midnight. Bring your own beer/wine/spirits(although I'll likely share mine anyways!).
You have your own bathroom but the shower is upstairs in second bathroom. Get yourself all squeaky clean whenever you like, just do your powdering in your bathroom to keep the second one available to me or your second person.
Wash your dishes, I have a dishwasher for larger loads but prefer handwashing to cut down on water and waste.
No shoes in the house.
Kindly do a full laundry load rather than run the machines everyday.
Ask if you don't know.
Wil was great at communicating, and made me feel very welcome in his space; He even had a cold beer in the fridge when I arrived! He wasn't around while I stayed there, unfortunately, but checking in and out was still easy-- no hassle at all. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. The location is a great home base, as Mt. Pleasant is a great neighbourhood. Tons of nearby restaurants and pubs, etc. The bedroom looks out onto a fairly quiet street, which is a bonus-- I slept great.
Will's place was in a great location, really easy to get around. The room is small, but comfy. For light sleepers the bed is a bit creaky, but it was also quite comfortable. Great value for the price and easy to find street parking.
Wil's place is in a great location. Situated really closely to the water in the Olympic Village, it's close to coffee shops, restaurants, the aquabus (which is awesome) and pretty much everything else that you need.
The room has a nice bed, and Wil has just had a nice new TV with Netflix put in the room. Wil wasn't around much while we were staying, but he was super nice and polite when we did meet him! :)
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this listing to anybody. :)
I stayed with Will for one night when traveling to Vancouver for the World Cup. It was a nice easy walk to the stadium and parking on the street was easy and free.
Be sure to read the host book before you go as there are instructions for arrival and getting the key.
My only complaint is the bed was a little squeaky with movement and there was some street noise.
This was our first Air BNB experience. We truly enjoyed it! Wil was away our first day, but he provided good instructions we felt right at home. He returned on your 2nd day and proved to be a gracious and generous host.
Wil's home is in the Mt Pleasant neighborhood, which is minutes from downtown. We enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants and shops.
Street parking is plentiful and our room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Would definately return.
Wil is a very friendly host, very welcoming and keen on making us feel at home. He was only here for a couple of days but gave us valuable advises on how to get around the area and Vancouver. The house is only a couple of minutes away from the sky train station or even false creek walk which is really nice ! Would definitely recommend Wil to a friend !
About the Host, Wil
Hi, I'm a self employed outdoors kind of guy. Easy going and a dandy sense of humor too! I'm busy but work for myself to try to get more time for myself rather than trying to get rich. All in all, I'm good company, especially in the summer if you paraglide, hike or even camp as I enjoy playing with like minded pals!
That's me[kinda sorta]
