About this listing
Adorable guest room with a queen bed, message chairs, tv, and mini frig. Lush tropical landscaping, pool, hot tub, hanging bed, and outdoor shower. We live in a perfect area to see all of the Lower Keys. Nightly rate varies by season.
We have a Charming Guest Room that is part of our "slice of paradise" and we would love to invite you to stay with us. Our property is very large and private with lush tropical landscaping, pool, outdoor shower, hot tub, and an outdoor queen size hanging bed.
The guest room is quaint and cozy with a queen size bed, and a reading area with two massage chairs, mini frig and tv. The home is a lovely older home with a lot of character. The house has beautiful iron-wood floors, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, and Florida-room. The whole house is open to our guests and they are more than welcome to use our kitchen, pots/pans, coffee-maker, oil, spices and such (breakfast is not included). Guests would have their own private bathroom; however, it is not adjacent to the room and you would have to walk through part of the house.
We also have two other listing "Charming Caravan in Tropical Oasis" and "Charming Cottage in Tropical Oasis". The property is shared with our guests from our other listing. Since many of our guests are international, it makes for some very interesting conversations around the pool.
We are a half hour drive from Key West and our area is great for snorkeling, fishing, diving, boating, kayaking, and general outdoor activities. Bahia Honda State Park is 10 miles up the road and is rated as one of the top ten beaches in Florida and is the only naturally occurring sand beach in the Keys. Our guests are welcome to use our beach things: ice coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, gas grill .…. and, our washer and dryer are available to our guests as needed. Just down the road from us is Boon Docks Grille and Draft House. It is a nice Tiki Hut style restaurant with live music in the evenings and good food. They have a very nice upscale miniature golf course that is a lot of fun.
We are world travelers ourselves and love sharing our place with other travelers. We have had guests from all over the world and have enjoyed meeting so many interesting people. We are very cool people and I am into the arts and my husband loves to cook, do yoga, and play volleyball. We have an adorable tabby cat, Dahlila, who is just as cool as we are. We have lived in the Keys for 25 years and have many great stories to share. To help in planning your holiday, we will send you some information about our area.
If you have never used the airbnb web-site before you, will be very impressed with how well organized it is and the safeguards they have put into place.

Interaction with Guests
We love to meet our guests when they first arrive and introduce them to the property, show them maps, and help them plan their time. Often, we will have a drink out by the pool in the evenings and ask our guests about their day. It makes us very happy to see our guests have a great holiday.
Our area is a wonderful balance of quietness but yet close enough to so many activities. From our home you can walk to a Cuban corner market for the best coffee, a great restaurant with live music, and a dive shop to take you out to the reef.
Having a car is best but there is a public transportation bus stop just down the road.
Arrival time is after 2 and departure is by 11. Our backyard is for quite enjoyment, so please no being loud or partying while being outside. We appreciate you being sensitive to the fact that we live here, have other guests, and neighbors that we care about.
We are an outgoing couple who loves to travel and meet other travelers. I enjoy cooking, yoga and beach volleyball and my wife loves the arts. We have traveled all over the US with Maui being our favorite vacation spot. Outside the US we have traveled to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Istanbul, Morocco and most of Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece. We love meeting people from different cultures and believe that life should be an adventure.
We enjoy music and our evenings might be spent sipping some wine by the pool while listening to some good jazz music. We have lived in the keys for 26 years and love the laid back atmosphere. We have the best of all worlds; a great place to live and a good location to be able to travel from.
