The Space

Our apartment is a great place to stay while exploring the magic that is New York City, Astoria, and Queens.

Our place is also hands down the most colorful place you'll ever stay! It looks a little different than the photos since we've been hosting for two years now, but it's now even more colorful and fun.

We keep a neat, quiet, fun home. We're down for a chat if you are, or to take you to one of our many fav Astoria restaurants or to our gym, but we also respect your privacy and time and will be busy with our own schedules.

We only accept bookings from folks with completely filled out profiles, including verifications.
Message us about the dates you're thinking of visiting before you try to book. We'd love to hear about your trip and who you're traveling with.
Please let us know your arrival and departure times. Our checkin is after 3pm and checkout is by 11am.
We're mostly available on the weekends, but it doesn't hurt to ask if you're looking for something during the week.
The room is private and is right next to the bathroom. When not hosting guests, this room is our living room, and is connected to one bedroom. 99% of the time, I use my separate door to get to the rest of the apartment. There's a small chance I'd have to walk through the room, but I'd be sure it's when you're not there. The door doesn't lock, but we have "do not disturb" signs and will basically always assume you're in that mode, unless you're hanging out with us in our kitchen.

Guest Access

We have high-speed wifi, a microwave, gas stove, oven, a blender, hair dryer, chargers for many mobile devices, and provide towels and linens.

You can have use of our kitchen, like storing things in our fridge and using spices, pots, and pans to cook. We just ask that you wash and put away anything you use.

We also have snacks, oatmeal, ramen, pasta, and lots of tea for you.

There's a full length mirror in the hallway right outside the door.

The room has a full-size futon that comfortably holds a couple or close friends. We also have a twin air mattress that will fit next to the futon if needed for a third guest, but the room is a bit tight that way. It's best for one or two people.

There's one bathroom that's shared between us and our guests.

We're on the first floor of our building, so you don't have to worry about lugging your luggage up flights of stairs.

There are games on our bookshelf if you're looking to pass some time.

Interaction with Guests

My roommate and I may be in the apartment during your stay, depending on when you book (more likely on weekdays than weekends). But we're fairly busy people so we aren't around much.

The Neighborhood

Astoria itself has tons of restaurants and shops, be sure to check out our guidebook for our recommendations.

We're less than two blocks from the subway, between two schools and on the way to the subway there's a 24 hour grocery store, so coming home late is not an issue. We are in an incredibly SAFE area.

Highlight: we're a short walk to the last original remaining Beer Garden in all of NYC: Bohemian Hall Beer Garden.

If you're a runner, there's a good mile and a half route you can take to the river by Socrates Park. During the summer there's lots of free weekend programming and a farmer's market on Saturday.

Astoria Park is a mile away. It's really nice; with a track, a playground, and more.

Flushing Queens is an easy subway around and boasts one of the best Chinatowns in the United States.

Getting Around

The 30th Ave N, Q subway is less than 3 minutes walking distance from our apartment (but you don't hear any noise from the subway in our apartment.)

Getting anywhere in Manhattan is easy. A quick 15 minute ride will put you right by Central Park, Times Square, Upper East Side, and other popular destinations. The line will also take you right into the middle of Herald Square, Union Square, Soho, Chinatown, and more. It's an amazing subway line to be near.

The N,Q gets you to all sorts of other subways/transit including The Port Authority, Grand Central Station, and Penn Station. You can buy your subway metrocards at our station.

La Guardia Airport is a quick 15 minute / $18 dollar car ride. We'll give you the number of our favorite car service. They pick you up right at the airport if you call and let them know your flight number. There's an easy bus from La Guardia that's an even cheaper trip, and it drops you off a couple of blocks from our place.

JFK is a quick 25 minute / $32 car ride. We'll give you the number of our favorite car service. They pick you up right at the airport if you call and let them know your flight number. By public transportation it's a little over an hour and the subway is less than two blocks from our place.

Other Things to Note

We love this city and will make sure you have an amazing stay.
