  • Gorgeous views, comfortable bed and spacious lanai. Room is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Kitchen and bathroom are both small, but adequate. Good storage with the dresser and the closet (that isn't shown in the pictures). Excellent location two blocks from the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • I stayed in the 43rd floor condo for 20 nights. The view is awesome. The whole apartment building is located at Ala Wai Blvd/Seaside Ave at the northeastern edge of Waikiki. It is perfect for those who don't want to miss out on the Waikiki fuzz and at the same time need some getaway from it all every once in a while. The apartment itself provides all you need to be self-contained. 16 Mbit WiFi and Cable-TV is available. Sam an Junko have been very helpful, honest and discret.

Here are the up- and downsides from my pont of view:
+ one of the best views in the city (e.g. sunset and fridays fireworks at Hawaiian Village can be watched)
+ fully self-contained condo (cooking for yourself is possible)
    + free and fast WiFi
    + Cable-TV
    + A/C
    + 2 Boogieboards
    + lots of storage room
    + comfy bed
+ facilities within apartment building: laundry, general store, car rental, fitness room, BBQ etc.
    + spacious lanai/balkony
+ waterfront at Ala Wai Canal is perfect for running and only 30m from building entrance
    - windows won't block noise from Ala Wai Blvd completely out (I solved this by using ear plugs in the night), depends on how sensitive you are, don't get me wrong: it is normal city noise (no dance club or anything else is disturbing), if you want to stay in Waikiki at this rate, I strongly doubt you find something quieter

  • The views from the 39th floor are sensational and the balcony is large enough to chill out on and enjoy. The location is also fantastic, with buses, beaches and shopping close by. There is even a convenience store on the 6th floor.
Sam greeted us downstairs and gave us the tour. All went well over the week that we stayed and we only heard from him on the day we were leaving.
The room is quite small, but is well equipped and nicely decorated.
My only gripes would be that the air conditioner is very loud and my double bed was uncomfortable at first. After sleeping on it for 3 nights, I ‘cracked’ and tried turning it upside down. It was way better!! So perhaps it was put on incorrectly?
Overall, I would recommend this place and certainly stay here again.

  • We stayed for 10 days. The view was great. It was nice to be so high up away from the street noise. The room is small but comfortable. The bathroom is kinda cramped and if you're doing any amount of cooking you have to be creative with the space. The bed is nice and firm, but I would've liked to have known it's actually 2 twins pushed together. It didn't bother us tho. Everything you need is in the condo already. Pool mattresses, snorkels and masks, basic condiments in the fridge, towels and kitchen is full of dishes and cookware. Once connected to wifi it worked great! We enjoyed our stay.

  • The condo is great. It's very centrally located - 2 blocks from the beach, 1 block from bars, 3 blocks from a grocery store. It has all the amenities you need: TV, pots, pans, tons of towels, beach chairs. Also, the view from the 35th floor is spectacular. So overall, we were very satisfied and happy with our stay and can recommend it to anybody. There are only a few flaws:
    - There is no internet in the entire building (you may only get 24 hours of free wifi in the lobby if you are nice to the manager).
    - The beds are very had.
    - There is no free parking nearby.
    - We weren't informed that there was no water on our first morning and that the hot tub wasn't working.
    - One of the owners of the condo lives next door so he strictly enforces quiet times after 10pm.
If that doesn't bother you, then you should stay here!

  • Great condo, was really well equipped and Sam was really nice and accommodated me, even when I turned up a day early due to time zone confusion!

The condo is in a great location, 5 minute walk to the supermarket, a little bit more to the beach and right on all the bus routes, just fantastic.

  • It was great to stay at the High Floor Island Colony Studio. The studio is cozy, nice, clean, comfortable, fully equipped with kitchen, refrigerator, cooking and cleaning utensils, towels and sheets. The building has laundry area, barbecue and swimming pool. The room has a spectacular view to one side of Waikiki, Diamond Head and the spectacular sunrises of Hawaii. We really recommend staying there, considering that the place is right at the hotspot of the Waikiki area, 2 blocks away from the beach, stores, bus stop, nice restaurants and other services.

  • Sam & Junko are lovely hosts with well situated and equipped condo's. Both went out of their way to make sure both the studio's I rented for the month had everything we requested, and meet our changing requirements. Warm & friendly they even providing maps, bus schedules and general area information & specials to make us feel right at home. The kitchenette is well equipped with built in 2 burner cooktop, very large fridge, microwave and sink. The rooms are actually nicer than the photographs, which is always a pleasant surprise, and the furniture acceptable (certainly as good as 80% of Hawaiian motels/hotel furnishings) with good flatscreen TV. The bed was comfortable, with plenty of linen and towels provided. Balcony views are excellent, no matter where you are in the building.

  • We Stayed for 3wks Nov/Dec 2012. Everything in the condo was great! We were on the 36th Floor with an excellent view. The Place was quite clean and well kept. Wireless internet was provided. The only thing to note is that there isn't a full size oven, but you are able to make due with a toaster oven that is provided. Would definetely stay there again.
