Staying with Guadalupe was great, she was very nice and very helpful with waterever i needed and the room was great, so was the surrounding. I highly recommend this place, when staying in San Francisco
My only hesitation about sharing my enthusiastic review is that I may have difficulty renting it again.
Guadelupe welcomed my daughter and me into a private room and bath in her beautiful home in the Richmond District of SF, easily accessible to public transportation and many ethnic restaurants. We took many beautiful walks towards the beach ,among magnificent homes, redwoods and views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The flat was a tranquil oasis encircling us with artwork and classical music and the host was available for sightseeing suggestions, yet was respectful of our privacy.
Be aware this is a second story walk up and if you have rented a car, neighborhood street parking will require circling the neighborhood a few times or parking at a meter on Clement Street.
Within three blocks we enjoyed Vietnamese breakfast of wonton soup, fabulous cappuccino and delicious incredibly inexpensive fruit at Asian local markets. You will love being here.
It is quiet and relaxing here, but only a short bus ride from the bustling side of SF. I can't imagine how the host could improve the experience or a better spot to recharge in an exciting city.
Guadalupe's house was impeccably clean with an extremely comfortable bed. There were fresh lovely towels in abundance in the bathroom which we had to ourselves. The area isn't great if your wanting to walk to San Fran's highlights it's at least a 25min walk along a pretty dull road to the edge of the Golden Gate Park, 40 mins to Union Square, longer to Fishermans Wharf and a 20min cab ride to The Haight. The host stayed tucked away in her room for the four days we were there, which felt a little strange to be in her house and not see her. The bathroom door got stuck everytime and took some work to open.. Alternatively our bedroom door didn't lock at all and would swing open all the time. It should also be noted there is a massive tennis/basketball, children's park directly outside your bedroom window which echoes right up into your room all day long. The host doesn't permit use of her laundry as it is 'too expensive'. This was an inconvenience. It was a lovely place but I didn't feel that the place was worth the money.
thank you for staying at my place, and I am sorry it did not meet your needs. I was not tucked in my room like you mentioned, I was out of town, and I feel this is an unfair comment, because I am not your personal guide, I offered my house but it does not mean I have to be visible to you, I answered all the question, and I provided a comfortable and safe place to stay..... and please next time you choose a place read about the location, before you decide where to stay, it is not my fault you do not understand how to read and interpret maps and distance....and yes I live close to a preschool , but the kids do not play at night, my place is pretty quiet at night and normal noise during the day...... about the door, you are the first person who complaint about the door, I clearly explain to you, please do not leave the window open, and you did not follow the instructions.......in regards of the laundry I do not provide laundry service, specially if you come to my place after being in the city for a while and you want to wash a big load of cloths ..... and if you think 130 dollars a day for two people is too expensive, next time choose a less expensive place..... and remember you come to a house not a hotel, ..... and the comment about me being stuck in my room is very inappropriate..... please do not judge people without knowing the facts
Guadalupe was very nice. Her apartment is very clean and well taken care of. She was very friendly and offered help where needed. She baked delicious banana bread, especially for us and it proved to be very tasty every morning with the coffee.
Guadalupe lives in the apartment, and rents the room on a daily basis. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room lacks place to put our clothes and therefore the suitcases stayed open on the floor and sort of blocked the room. The bathroom was very clean and comfortable, eventhough the water flow was not the best.
The neiborhood is very nice. There is a bus right around the corner (number 1) that goes all the way across the city to Fisherman's whart - about a 30 minute drive. So it's not situated in the center of the ciry but it's easy to get there by bus.
We would recommend staying with her.
The reservation was canceled 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Guadalupe is a caring and helpful host. I stayed in her apartment for three days. The room shown in the pictures was extended by another guest so Guadalupe gave me the room next to it, which had a twin bed instead but equally comfortable. The whole apartment was super clean and decorated with a lot of beautiful artworks. Guadalupe was very warm-hearted and shared the traveling tips with me before I started my exploration in SF. The location of her home is also very convenient, close to the Golden Gate Park, Bridge, and beaches. I enjoyed my stay with Guadalupe and would definitely recommend it to anyone who are traveling to SF or looking for an urban escape.
Guadalupe was the best and everything as advertised. One of the challenges I've experienced with AirBnB hosts is cleanliness, especially in San Francisco. Guadalupe has a neat, uncluttered home that is spotless, fresh nice linens and towels were provided.
Guadalupe is a well traveled, interesting lady with wonderful stories and a delight to share a little time with. I will definitely stay at Guadalupe's home on my next visit.
