We are within walking distance to too many SF iconic spots to mention, but to give you a taste:

- 5 minutes to Bi-Rite Market and Creamery, Delfina Restaurant, Tartine Bakery, Mission Chinese Food and other SF culinary icons
- 5 minutes to Dolores Park
- 5 minutes to Castro Theater
- 3 minutes to Mission Dolores
- 10 minutes to Noe Valley Farmer's Market
- 3 minutes to Muni Metro (J, K, L, M, N lines)

Apartment includes HDTV (with networks, Apple TV, and Roku), High-Speed Wireless, a fully-stocked kitchen, 2 yoga mats (for taking to Dolores Park, or one of the many nearby yoga studios) and a list of popular restaurants/bars/outings nearby. Also Cafe Sophie, the cutest little local cafe across the way (Update: Cafe Sophie was just featured in Airbnb Neighborhoods! Tell Shawn we sent you, and he'll treat you right - he would anyway).

  • We had a great time at Rebecca's place. It is a cosy and comfy apartment in a cool neighborhood. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, very bright because of the many windows and has everything you need. The flat is clean and it has good bed.

We enjoyed strolling around Mission and Castro with its many restaurants, bars, parks, brunch/ lunch places. Going into town is a bit of a hike but once you figured out the public transport map you are ok.

Though you can manage, because of its size and its many smaller rooms I would not recommend this place for families who are bringing a baby or infant.

  • Super comfortable bed and sofa, lots of natural light, very accessible and friendly hosts, and amazing location. This part of town is near hot restaurants, cool hipster hangouts, the Castro, the Mission, public transport--something for everyone! Older building, so bathroom is not modern (small sink, little shelf space, wraparound shower curtain in the tub), but it's very adequate and clean. Note: Host provides no shampoo and only 1 towel, so bring your own if needed. There is street noise, but not excessive. It was a positive, first airbnb experience for me.

  • Awesome place in a great location! We were looking for a more authentic stay while we were in San Francisco and we got it. There were so many great restaurants, shop, bars and cafes within walking distance..we didn't even leave the Castro/Mission area. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Rebecca was a great host!

  • Staying at Rebecca's place was amazing. The location was excellent and we felt at home right away. Communication and organisation of all the small details was extremely easy and Rebecca was able to help us out with some local information whilst we were on our trip. We would recommend Rebecca's home to anyone looking for a great place to stay whilst in San Francisco.

  • Great light, comfy bed, cozy place! This apartment was a perfect place to stay in San Francisco. The Castro district is so lively and connects to all types of transportation and Rebecca is a wonderful host! She prepared such useful info for us on restaurants, bakeries, parks, and more, making our visit so smooth! The apartment has everything you need to have a fine stay in a fun city! Thanks, Rebecca!

  • Rebecca's home is wonderful- we had a great stay. Great communication: quick and friendly. Easy to check in (via remote intercom), fantastic location in a great neighborhood with lots to offer in terms of food, bars, sights. Easily walk to many locations or public transport options. The best part was that Rebecca thoughtfully left us a pumpkin pie and bottle of wine for us to enjoy (as we checked in on thanksgiving day!). The apartment is pretty, spacious and we were able to whip up a few dishes in the well-stocked kitchen. Highly recommended. Thanks Rebecca!

About
Israel-born, Kenya-raised; landed in San Francisco via Oxford, UK and Washington, DC. I love to travel, but prefer to do it by meeting locals rather than concierges! I love small neighborhoods, local restaurants, and independent coffee shops; basically a perch from which to watch the world pass by.
