We live in a large, bright 1-bedroom apartment in Mission Dolores, with a gorgeous bay window looking out onto sunny 16th Street. This is a North and East-facing corner apartment on the second floor so is flooded with light from morning until evening.
Our location is hard to beat: 3 blocks from Castro Street (heart of the Castro), 3 blocks to Valencia Street (heart of the Mission), 3 blocks to Dolores Park, 3 blocks to Duboce Park, and around the corner from the historic Mission Dolores, the birthplace of San Francisco.
We are within walking distance to too many SF iconic spots to mention, but to give you a taste:
- 5 minutes to Bi-Rite Market and Creamery, Delfina Restaurant, Tartine Bakery, Mission Chinese Food and other SF culinary icons
- 5 minutes to Dolores Park
- 5 minutes to Castro Theater
- 3 minutes to Mission Dolores
- 10 minutes to Noe Valley Farmer's Market
- 3 minutes to Muni Metro (J, K, L, M, N lines)
- 3 minutes to Historic Streetcar (F-Market)
Apartment includes HDTV (with networks, Apple TV, and Roku), High-Speed Wireless, a fully-stocked kitchen, 2 yoga mats (for taking to Dolores Park, or one of the many nearby yoga studios) and a list of popular restaurants/bars/outings nearby. Also Cafe Sophie, the cutest little local cafe across the way (Update: Cafe Sophie was just featured in Airbnb Neighborhoods! Tell Shawn we sent you, and he'll treat you right - he would anyway).

Super comfortable bed and sofa, lots of natural light, very accessible and friendly hosts, and amazing location. This part of town is near hot restaurants, cool hipster hangouts, the Castro, the Mission, public transport--something for everyone! Older building, so bathroom is not modern (small sink, little shelf space, wraparound shower curtain in the tub), but it's very adequate and clean. Note: Host provides no shampoo and only 1 towel, so bring your own if needed. There is street noise, but not excessive. It was a positive, first airbnb experience for me.
Highly recommended!! The apartment is very cozy, comfortable and clean. The location is perfect and surrounded by nice restaurants and shops. Rebecca is a very kind and helpful host and easy to communicate with, she is into every detail. Thank you so much, we had the greatest time in SFO!
Great apartment and wonderful host. Rebecca was clear and communicative and her apartment was clean, cute and comfortable. It was easy and pleasant all around. Highly recommended.
Awesome place in a great location! We were looking for a more authentic stay while we were in San Francisco and we got it. There were so many great restaurants, shop, bars and cafes within walking distance..we didn't even leave the Castro/Mission area. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Rebecca was a great host!
Staying at Rebecca's place was amazing. The location was excellent and we felt at home right away. Communication and organisation of all the small details was extremely easy and Rebecca was able to help us out with some local information whilst we were on our trip. We would recommend Rebecca's home to anyone looking for a great place to stay whilst in San Francisco.
Great light, comfy bed, cozy place! This apartment was a perfect place to stay in San Francisco. The Castro district is so lively and connects to all types of transportation and Rebecca is a wonderful host! She prepared such useful info for us on restaurants, bakeries, parks, and more, making our visit so smooth! The apartment has everything you need to have a fine stay in a fun city! Thanks, Rebecca!
Rebecca's apartment was wonderful and in a great location. Her guid to the neighbourhood had some great places to eat and drink too. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Great host, fantastic apartment.
Rebecca's home is wonderful- we had a great stay. Great communication: quick and friendly. Easy to check in (via remote intercom), fantastic location in a great neighborhood with lots to offer in terms of food, bars, sights. Easily walk to many locations or public transport options. The best part was that Rebecca thoughtfully left us a pumpkin pie and bottle of wine for us to enjoy (as we checked in on thanksgiving day!). The apartment is pretty, spacious and we were able to whip up a few dishes in the well-stocked kitchen. Highly recommended. Thanks Rebecca!
Rebecca's place was great - the place itself is a dream and she's taken the time to put together a map of local attractions, and provided great details about finding her place. I stayed in a hotel on my first night in SF - this was vastly preferable and greater value. I would totally stay again!
