Rune welcomed us very friendly and showed us the flat to explain us everything and left us even some food and very tasty selfbrewed beer. The flat has everything you will need. Very comfortable and cosy. The area is very nice and it's just a nice little walk in the city (~15min), there also two trams next to the house but we didn't try them as Trondheim is not that big. Would definetely recommend the flat to everybody!
Strongly recommend Rune's home, such a nice flat with amazing river view! Very clean , modern and quiet, perfect! Though not near the central station and city centre, but not quite bothered about that. Worth having a try staying there, and Rune is really friendly and helpful ;-) 5 star experience!
I highly reccomend Rune's place if you are ever staying in Trondheim. Rune's home was lovely and a perfect place for our stay. The apartment was clean, well equipped, homely and spacious and exactly as it looked in the pictures. The location was ideal- within walking distance of the city but in a quiet peaceful street with beautiful views of the water from the windows. Rune was the perfect host- He even went out of his way to help us with directions to his place and meet us at the tram stop when we arrived late at night. Thanks Rune for a great stay in Trondheim!
We had a great stay in the Rune apartment which has already been written about many times previously. Instead I will cover some basics about getting around to and from the apartment.
Rune was very helpful and went out of his way to meet us at the Nyveibakken tram stop, which was somewhat iffy (tram system under rebuilding) as his only information was when our flight arrived at the airport. The apartment can be difficult to locate as it is on an (unpaved) street which didn't seem to have any street markings. Getting around the city is very easy AFTER you study the bus schedules. You can purchase weeklong bus passes which will save you money. Pensioners passes are available at half price. Buses #5 and 8 work well IF you walk to the Ila stop (level going) and return to the Nyveibakken stop (up the hill from the apartment), but you need to remember to walk upward about 50 more feet after crossing the street to the Nyveibakken unpaved road, then(down) to the apartment. Note, going uphill to the tram or the Nyveibakken bus stop from the apartment with luggage is a mistake! Buses #5 &8 take you to the Kogensgata stop, from there you will need to do some walking. Make certain the you have the correct address for the Information office (recently moved) and have them show you the bus stop locations, then mark each stop on the map as they just aren't marked. Like wise note the diagram at the lower right-hand corner of the last page of the bus schedule and again have the information person help you mark any stops you missed! The actual bus stop locations are NOT shown on the large Trondheim map, there are about six pairs you need to know, generally on opposite sides of the street from each other.
If you are leaving Trondheim with the Hurtigruten take bus #64 (from the city center) to it's final stop, then walk about two blocks to the dock. Everything previously written by others suggest Rune is friendly, helpful and caring which is absolutely correct. GREAT HOST! You will definitely enjoy your stay.
Rune communicated well with us before the trip and kept in touch during our stay. This was very helpful. He welcomed us and showed us around the accommodation, paying close attention to issues that could arise with internet or Tv. As a result of this no issues arose. The flat was clean, modern, comfortable and spacious just as described by Rune on the Air bnb site. The view was lovely and the location, near to a small supermarket, the tram and buses, was ideal. The only things that could be an issue for some guests are the number of steps up to the flat and the lack of hanging space for clothes, but these things did not affect us. Rune was a friendly, helpful host who gave us privacy and flexibility. We would not hesitate to recommend his accommodation.
