The space
**** EXTRA FEES******
- Our house can sleep 6 comfortably, but we can accomodate 3 more in the office where we can prepare the futon and add an extra twin bed - THIS HAS TO BE ANNOUNCED and the correct number of guests marked in the listing so that we can leave this extra bed prepared. We also have another airbnb within the same gated community that you can also rent if your group is larger than 9 - you can ask us about it.
- $50 for 1 extra cleaning a week
- $40 Airport pickup / drop off - to be paid to the driver
-$50 Late Checkout /Early Check in fee - this depends if there is no booking for that night or the previous one - it has to be agreed in writing in advance.

What you may not love:
- This is the tropics - there are bugs so do bring bug repellent! We fumigate frequently the house but you may occasionally encounter them inside (hopefully dead). We are also close to a creek and have a wooded area behind the house, this attracts wildlife and not all of it could be pleasant to meet.
- There are wild iguanas, they live all over our property and occasionally you might see iguana droppings around the backyard.
- Gaudi the peacock occasionally honks and he walks around the terrace and pool area.
- We have a neighbor that occasionally organizes activities in his property and you can listen to the music from the pool area
- Between March and June our mango trees have their harvest. We pick the fruit between guests or once or twice a week; nevertheless, you will find fruits on the floor. Also, one of the trees is close to the house, in front of the kitchen, which means you will hear them fall on the roof.
HOUSE DETAILS
Casa Gaudí has enough room for 8 or 9 people to sleep comfortably. If your party is over 6 people please let us know so we can prepare the 4th bedroom with a futon and extra bed.
KITCHEN: Well equipped with utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, oven, microwave, we even have baking utensils. Has a garbage disposal which should be used with care!
LAUNDRY: We leave it fully stocked, it has washer and dryer and there is a clothes line also behind the house. Perfect for longer stays
LIVING ROOM: located off the kitchen and provides dining area, through large sliding glass doors open to the terrace and the back yard. Has a 43in TV. There is also a bluetooth speaker available.
TERRACE: Oversees the whole back yard and pool area.
BEDROOMS:
- Main Bedroom: King sized bed with a view through the sliding glass doors that lead to the backyard and pool area, AC, Smart TV with Netflix app, large walk in closet, large main bathroom with roll-in shower
- Bedroom 2: Queen sized bed, AC, bathroom with shower
- Bedroom 3: Two twin beds, bathroom with shower
- Bedroom 4: Futon and an extra bed we will prepare when requested.
ACCESSIBILITY
- House is fully accessible being a one floor house with NO STEPS whatsoever.
- Wide hallways and doorways
- Pool has a pool lift = upon request.
- King Bed in the Main bedroom is 24 inches high with ample space around the bed
- There is an electric power lift recliner
- Main bathroom has a shower chair
- Main bathroom sink has space for a wheelchair underneath
- We have a manual wheelchair available if a guest needs it
**** IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS: our home was built especially for moving around in a wheelchair; however, we understand that not everyone's needs are the same. If you have any questions and/or need further information to make sure that we adjust to your needs please feel free to ping me. Guest access
You will have access to the whole house, the gardens and will be able to exclusively use the pool (private pool).
You can park up to 2 cars in our garage as well.
Other things to note
You can arrive to Casa Gaudi using public transportation; however, we do recommend to rent a car to move around faster.
To get to Casa Gaudi we will provide a Waze and G. maps address so it is easier for you to reach us that way.
If you do not have a Costa Rican phone and do not have a data plan that works in the country we recommend that you get a SIM card at the airport when you arrive. It's easier to move around using Waze or G. Maps since addresses tend to be complicated. If you do not want to rent a vehicle, apps like Uber or Didi are very popular and useful for moving around the central valley.
Please also note that our peacock Gaudi and our hen live in the property. So someone (could be our maintenance person or Jorge) comes early in the morning and in the afternoon to tend to them - this person will enter the backyard through the side and will not need to enter the home.
Also, the maintenance person will tend to the pool early in the morning once or twice a week.
