My place is a big, bright, airy penthouse (7th floor) across from the Hippodrome de Boitsfort, Brussels Golf Club and the Bois de la Cambre in southeastern Brussels, at the end of Avenue Franklin Roosevelt between Ixelles, Uccle and Boitsfort. There's plenty of free parking and clean air but I'm still just 30 minutes from downtown and 5 minutes from the Ring road (RO) and E411. The Free University of Brussels (ULB) with lots of restaurants and bars is 5 tram stops towards downtown and Place Wiener in Boitsfort with its restaurants and colorful Sunday market is four tram stops in the other direction. I'm 15-20 minutes from the EU quarter and 20-30 from Ave. Louise or the Sablon by public transport or car.
The living room has great views of the Brussels Golf Club (9 holes) and Bois de la Cambre (national forest), which is great for running, jogging, mountain biking or just walking (The park is closed to traffic on weekends and holidays, the forest everyday). The bedrooms have a nice view towards downtown and the Northeast.
I have two guest bedrooms but normally only rent one at a time unless the guests are already friends with one another. The one in this listing has two comfortable twin beds, a desk, stereo, closet and a sink in the room and a view of the rooftops of Ixelles looking towards downtown. (The second guest room is listed separately and has a comfortable, queen-sized sofabed, desk and two closets and access onto a private terrace with a nice view towards downtown and evening sunlight). Each is about 12 square meters (~130 square feet) and sleeps two comfortably. The two guest bedrooms share a bathroom and WC that are separate from my own.
There's a nice, sunny café and restaurant in the golf club across the street, and other restaurants and bars either a short walk or couple tram stops away. I provide a list of everything close as well as some addresses for places that deliver. I also like to cook and am willing to share, and/or sell you stuff like frozen pizza or instant soups at cost.
I'm happy to give advice on things to do and see in Brussels and where to eat and will do my best to make you feel at home.
In addition to their private room and bathroom, guests have full rights to the living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry room plus balconies and fast WiFi. I provide clean linens, towels and soap and a healthy continental breakfast (fresh bread, OJ, coffee/tea, cereals and organic milk and yogurt) for short stays. (For stays longer than a week, and in exchange for a reduced price, guests are expected to do their own shopping. I'm happy to take people to the nearest grocery store on the weekend).
I often invite my guests to share a drink or meal, or watch a movie if I'm planning to watch a movie, otherwise I try to leave people space. I travel a lot for work, so guests may have the place all to themselves for days or weeks at a time.
The best thing about the neighbourhood are the forest and golf club across the street. I don't golf, but my son does, and the club has a nice, south-facing café that's great for coffee in the summer months. The restaurant also serves dinner three nights a week.
The tram stop is literally at my front door. So it's easy to get to downtown or to Place Wiener with its Sunday market and lots of restaurants and small shops.

Brandon was a great host, really helpful showing me around and I had a fun stay at his place. Would definitely stay with Brandon again and would thoroughly recommend him as a host.
I stayed at Brandon's when I was moving between houses in Brussels and I had a great time. Brandon's a great host, I had all the privacy I wanted given I had my own shower and wc, yet I also had the offer of an excellent company. The apartment itself unbelievable and all I could have asked for was well met! Thx Brandon.
The flat is great, the location is fine (tram 94 in front) and Brandon is a perfect guest.
It was just a great time.
My advice, "Stay there".
My friend Caroline and I just adored Brandon's place!! So light, so clean, so practical, so nice... The neighborhood is very nice and wooded. I really appreciated the typical Belgium landscape and the mix of different cultures in the apartment. I was just in a new world! I appreciated also the calm and the peace of mind that spring from the apartment. Unfortunately, we missed Brandon who had to go on a business trip. Too bad, cause a guy with such a good taste of decoration and such a nice attention must be a great guy ;-)
Brandon is an absolute gentleman and a friendly host. The apartment is classic and well maintained. A bit far from city otherwise everything is perfect for the stay. I would recommend his apartment and also would visit him again.
My stay in Brandon's place was really very good, the place is at the top floor with an outstanding view and easy tram connections to the city centre! Branon is a super nice guy and very funny, good espresso and nutella for breakfast! I will recommnd to all my friends for thei next stays in Brussels! Thank you!
