Our Airbnb was just dreamy: spacious, comfortable, decorated with a very fun/beachy feel, and we had all the amenities we needed. The roof deck has a wonderful view of the water; we took every opportunity to sit up there and just bask in being on vacation. One of the bedrooms is behind a curtain instead of a door, so it might be a little tough regarding privacy for two couples, but there's certainly enough space for four people. Not to mention, the apartment is situated right in the middle of town. It was incredibly convenient to be able to pop in and out as needed while exploring Greenport. Being right next to The Frisky Oyster (excellent cocktails) and a short walk from Noah's (amazing seafood) means you can have a great meal and/or a nightcap and head right home. Others have mentioned the bars across the street, but honestly, we didn't find the outside noise irritating. Kate was so great and communicative, both via text and the post-it notes she included with tons of recommendations (food, drinks, stores, nearby beaches). We had a fantastic time and hope to stay there again!
This apartment is PERFECT for a quick getaway from NYC. We had four people who very comfortably fit in the space, and I think you could probably manage an extra 1-2 on the pull-out couch if you needed to. The roof has beautiful views of the bay + an electric grill, and you're right next to one of the best restaurants I've been to on the North Fork (the Frisky Oyster — amazing seafood & cocktails). Beautifully furnished, well-equipped kitchen, all around incredibly comfortable. I'd just say that anyone looking for a quiet weekend away from the madding crowds might not love this space — Front Street can be a little noisy, especially on summer weekends, so you do get a bit of noise pollution late into the night. But if you want to be right in the middle of things (5 minute walk from the train station/Jitney stop, also extremely helpful), this is perfect. Definitely hope to come back!
My husband and I, and our two friends had a fantastic long weekend in Greenport. The apartment was centrally located, bright and beachy in feel. We particularly enjoyed cooking and eating on the terrace outside with a view of the boats. Kathleen was friendly and responsive over the whole weekend. She very kindly let us check out late, allowing us to make the most of our last day which was much appreciated!
The only downside to the central location is the noise at night from the local bars. We stayed over a holiday weekend, so it may have been particularly noisy, but it was pretty inescapable.
The location of this apartment is amazing! Kate was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire trip process from booking to checking out. The apartment easily accommodated 4 guests and had a bright atmosphere. The bars across the street are loud and stay open well into the night, but with a window unit, noise was easily drowned out. The location could not have been more perfect and made it easy to enjoy Greenport!
Great stay, apt was very nice and had everything we needed, excellent location right in the heart of it , near ferry to shelter island, Kathleen very quick to respond to any queries. Would defiantly recommend to friends.
Kathleen's home was lovely! It was the perfect place for a long weekend. It is literally in the heart of Greenport, within walking distance to great restaurants and bars. The beach is a bit hard to get to, so rent bikes or get a taxi if you've no car. I have no complaints whatsoever- clean, lovely space with a kitchen perfect for cooking. Thanks Kathleen!
Kate, was very easy to communicate with leading up to our stay.
She left Post-its around the apt letting us know the best restaurants, where trash goes, how to get to the beach...etc. The apt was/is exactly as the pictures/description say.
We were in town for a wedding and many of the events were happening right there in Greenport which made Kate's place perfect, we were in the middle of it all.
Only negative, there are two bars across the street so there is noise at night. But we flipped on the A/C and drowned it out.
We'd stay again, for sure.
