Hi Roger, I am sorry that you encountered problems with the hot water on your first day. Indeed there was a problem with the water heater which was resolved. The towel rail in the lower ground floor is new as that bathroom has just been refurbished. The electrician came back and it is working great. There are 3 heaters in the lounge so I am surprised that you felt cold. The log fire is a lovely feature and is of course available to use. Most clients buy the wood from the nearby supermarket or garden center. When there is wood in the garage, clients are welcome to use that. With regards to the telephone number for the caretaker, I have checked this on our system and also on the actual correspondence sent to you and it is correct! It is listed as 0033 6... but when dialing locally you only need to dial 06.... Perhaps this was the reason you couldn't get through. We have not had this problem reported to us before. Finally, I would be happy to refund the cost of some of your calls, if you let me a copy of your bill, although we mainly communicated by text/SMS.
We want our guests to feel comfortable and looked after if things ever go wrong. I trust we did that.
