If you have additional needs, please ask us and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Nancy and Allen were wonderful hosts. They had all the little things ready to make us feel right at home. Homemade muffins, snacks in the fridge and comfy bedrooms made for a fabulous stay. And you can't beat the million dollar Rocky Mountain view. The best!
Nancy and Allen's home was a fantastic retreat for our visit to the Rockies. We spent most of our time in Estes Park (hiking) and a couple of afternoons in Fort Collins and one in Boulder. The home is located in a convenient location to all of those areas (although you have to have a rental car because they are spaced far apart).
The home was comfortable and had pretty much everything you need, including a small kitchen for preparing your own meals. The one down side is there isn't a stove downstairs but with the grill on the patio you don't really have to have a stove. We got by without one and we ate dinner at home almost every night. Nancy was nice enough to pick up a few items for us and stock the fridge before we arrived - such a nice touch!
I would highly recommend this home for a trip to the national park and surrounding areas.
Our hosts were great! Nancy met my family when they arrived, and made us feel very welcome. The detailed description of the listing was (email hidden)e house was plenty large enough for everyone, and clean and cozy. Nancy and Allen are very friendly and open while still respecting their guests' privacy.
My wife and I stayed with Nancy & Al the first week of September 2014.
We got to the house and were met by Nancy, who showed us around her home. When we entered, we were met by Million Dollar Views of the whole valley and far off mountain range.
Nancy was very down-to-earth and knowledgeable. She told us about the area, and gave us our choices of 3 downstairs bedroom suites - all of which were gorgeous. Our private living area was large, very comfortable, quiet, and and our views were truly remarkable.
We have used many AirBnB and other internet home rentals, and this was in the Top 5. Nancy even had strawberries, fruit, granola and milk, coffee, and cinnamon bread all ready for us in our suite.
She was very knowledgeable about the area, and was very kind spending time with us, and letting us get to feed and pet her cute little Shitsu doggie.
We'd highly recommend staying here.
We loved our stay with Allen and Nancy! They we so kind and helpful. If you are apprehensive about a shared space, fear not. They gave us all the privacy we desired, but were also more than willing to help us when we needed it. Their space is very roomy and has everything you could need! We would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in the area.
I'm not sure words can describe the picturesque view from all the windows. Breathtaking! The photos don't do it justice. I thoroughly enjoyed sleeping with the window open and waking to a view of the sun rising on the mountains. Heaven! Allen and Nancy were wonderful and so was Sarona, their furry 4-legged family member. They made sure the lamp was on when I got back "home" after dark. And there were snacks and fresh fruit and COFFEE. I was very comfortable and can't wait to visit again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Oh, yeah--and there is even a tuned piano :-)
We couldn't have had a better experience staying with Allen and Nancy. They are extremely kind and welcoming, and are there to help with anything that you need. Their home is beautiful and no amount of pictures can do justice to the view and the serenity. It's a perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, and don't mind being away from the crowds a bit. We would highly recommended staying at their home, as there was nothing negative about the experience whatsoever and we hope to be back someday.
We have owned and operated entertainment theme parks and fitness centers. Our best career ever was raising up 3 children. We both love to hike, read, and entertain friends and family. It will be our pleasure to accommodate your needs as you enjoy your stay at the gateway to the Rocky Mountains.
