Mary and Eamonn were fantastic hosts. Their cottage was spacious and homey with all the amenities you might need for a longer stay. My favorite part was their doggos (they hung out with us in the cottage for hours!) and their amazing property. Thank you Mary and Eamonn!

Mary's place was pretty great. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately and given a short tour of the place. Inside there were a ton of notes written so you didn't have to go over to the main house to ask questions about every little thing. The barn had most of the essentials. Property was amazing, this alone would make us seriously consider staying again if we ever get the chance to return to Ireland. Only issues we had, which were all pretty insignificant, the shrubs along the road leading up to the house need to be trimmed. We didn't want to take our car into town because the vegetation was scratching the car on the way in. There were quite a few bugs in the barn, mostly spiders and centipedes. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but it was a true king sized bed. Overall we had a nice, relaxing 3 days on the property.

Mary's house is located in a beautiful part of Ireland, in driving distance to many spots of natural beauty. The guest cottage is situated not far from Mary's house, with lovely gardens surrounding and a rushing river (when it rains) right on the land. The cottage is modestly but adequately outfitted, with a wood-burning stove. It's just outside Westport, a charming town, and the drive to the house is very sweet. Friendly dogs greet you when you arrive. Mary was extremely helpful in making suggestions for nearby places of interest, both outdoor excursions and museums and castles. We really enjoyed our stay at Mary's and in the area of County Mayo.

Mary and Eamon have done a perfect job of creating a comfortable, authentic rural idyll. Their land, river and 3 adorable dogs are almost too perfect. The cottage itself is simple, cozy and warm but spacious. We thoroughly appreciated the huge bed. Often beds labeled "king" in Airbnb are actually American sized doubles. Theirs is the real thing. They are both truly interesting people and suggestions for food and touring perfect. We would love to come back for a longer stay and really see the west

Mary's cottage was so quaint and we loved our stay. After being in Dublin and Galway it was a wonderful change of pace and so quiet and peaceful. Lots of nature trails and the scenery was breathtaking. Mary was kind and helpful, one of the best hosts we've had! We hope to return!

Great location, particularly if you're planning to cycle in the area. It was peaceful, quiet and dark at night, and the wood stove was a great treat for a chilly September night. Mary and Eamonn were very friendly and happy to answer all of our questions and make recommendations for local things to check out. There was even a fire going when we checked in! The pictures accurately depict the cabin, though the bedroom is completely filled by the bed. The kitchen is slightly cramped but more than workable. Thanks for a lovely week!

Comfortable, quiet and most enjoyable. The hosts were lovely. Mary was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The chickens were kind enough to lay eggs for our breakfast. The walks along the river were spectacular, including a chance to pet the Connemara ponies!

I am a musician, I'm from Belfast and I moved to the West of Ireland recently. I love my music and love performing at various functions and concerts.
I love the outdoor life which includes attempts at running every morning through the beautiful local woodlands here. Also short rows on the nearby river, trampolining, sailing and swimming in the sea with my two lovely girls. I sought the quiet life after a hectic city lifestyle and found this dream home.
This location is a perfect silent and friendly place to travel from and explore all outdoor pursuits.
