Location of the apartments
The apartments are located at 141, VIA GREGORIO VII ("Via Gregorio Settimo"), in a lovely, small palace dating back to the 1930's. From the windows of our apartments you can see the spectacular Dome of St. Peter's. Via Gregorio VII runs alongside Vatican City. Just a short walk away (within minutes), you will find the world's smallest state.... Christianity's most sacred site.
The historical centre is about 1 km from Romahouse.
Several of the buses that stop right in front of Romahouse bring you towards Rome's most interesting sites within minutes (e.g. Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, etc.).
VIA GREGORIO VII is a beautiful, tree-lined street where you will find Romans and tourists alike. The neighbourhood boasts many conveniences: supermarkets and grocery shops, banks and drugstores, fine restaurants and fast food restaurants, and all kinds of retail stores.
Upon your arrival you will be offered a map of the area, filled with useful hints about how to get around.
A local market "at your front door", among real Romans!
Every morning a vibrant, open-air market makes Via Gregorio VII cheerful and lively. There, you will find various booths: fruits and vegetables, fresh fish and meats, breads and pastries, as well as street-vendors selling clothes and household items.

Cannot say enough amazing things about our stay at RomaHouse. We opted to for the shuttle service offerered by Martin, he picked us up promptly from the CIA airport and gave us a efficient and scenic drive back to Romahouse (the traffic permitted). The price was right for a trusted trip into the city. Martin was very helpful with tips and tricks for our stay in Rome and gave us a sheet with a map and recommended restaurants and walks locally. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Though on a major street the windows kept the noise levels low and for May we found the room cool despite the heat outside. The bathroom was big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We found the location to be ideal, close to transit and the Vatican (where there is a bus tour stop). Martin shuttled us back to CIA in good time for our return flight. We would recommend Romahouse to family and friends and cannot wait until we can return. Thank you for everything Martin, you made our trip so perfect.
We stayed in Martin's apartment for one month. The apartment's location can't be beat! It is 400 meters from the Basilica (that picture was taken from the apartment) and there is public transportation that takes you anywhere in the city that is located literally across the street. There are several grocery stores located within a couple of blocks and there is a farmers' market located outside the apartment.
The apartment itself was quite clean. There was plenty of kitchenware, the bed was comfortable, and the TV worked well. We had an issue with the TV and Martin came over and fixed it right away. In fact, Martin was quite helpful with everything! He provided shuttle service for when we both arrived and departed in Rome. He was very informative and provided written information with restaurants, suggested tours, and a good map.
The challenge we found with the apartment was the size of the shower. If you have claustrophobic tendencies, you may want to be aware. Also, the apartment is located on the 5th floor. One of the trade-offs for the fabulous views is walking the five flights.
All in all, the apartment was great and Martin was very helpful and informative - the perfect host!
The apartments have very convinient location near Vatican. There are lots of local restaurants with nice cuisine and cheap prices. Martin is extremely friendly and positive guy who gave me excellent recommendations those saved me time and cash. Price is reasonable, place is calm and convenient. Strongly recommend you this apartments and Martin as a landlord.
We spend incredible days in Rome. Martin was very helpful and attentive. The window view is wonderful and the apartment is very well located. Just have to thank.
apartment clean and correct practice was near the (email hidden)es mzrtin offers to shuttle from the airport to your apartment al arrives and your departure ...
Thanks Martin for hishospitality, we had a great time in rome and in romahouse. The apartment is very clean and nice, few minutes walk from Vatican. A very nice area, peace and quiet, many cozy cafes, supermarket, near the center. I would recommend this place for stay!!! I hope to come back and stay in Martin's apartament again.
It was just a very pleasant stay! the apartment is very clean, nice and has a great location! just few minutes walk from Vatican. Martin is very kind and attentive person. I would recommend this place for stay to anyone!
