The Space

Immerse yourself in this beautiful studio located on the second floor of a Historic North Beach building. This charming spot sits right across the street from Washington Square Park in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in San Francisco!

The studio features a big room with a very comfortable full bed and a walk in closet. One bathroom, a full kitchen with stove, freezer and utensils to make you feel right at home in any situation.

The main room has a 55" plasma TV, Nintendo Wii as well as connection to fast speed internet, subscription to Netflix for the dreamy San Francisco nights! There is a nice turntable available to listen to an eclectic collection of instrumental Jazz and Blues!! As well as your own Gems you might have picked up at Amoeba or Rasputins!l

Natural light illuminates the room even in cloudy days and Open space windows provide sights and sound of a bustling neighborhood!! Perfect backdrop to your San Francisco experience!

The building that the studio is in is kept clean and safe 24 hours a day with shared laundry room and patios.

The location is very convenient for sight seeing and public transportation!! Right in the hearth of the legendary North Beach neighborhood and Chinatown a couple blocks away!! The amount of restaurants, bars, art galleries and parks are too many to list but rest assure you will find what your looking for and suits your needs!!

Other points of interest in San Francisco close to this location include Chinatown ,Financial District, Fishermans Wharf, Lombard Street and the Coit Tower.
The Ferries to Alcatraz are just a couple blocks away!! Come see why this Neighborhood is so special to San Francisco and its locals!!

From wiki: (North Beach is a neighborhood in the northeast of San Francisco adjacent to Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf and Russian Hill. The neighborhood is San Francisco's Little Italy, and has historically been home to a large Italian American population. It is still home to many Italian restaurants today, though many other ethnic groups currently live in the neighborhood. It was also the historic center of the beatnik subculture. Today, North Beach is one of San Francisco's main red light and nightlife districts as well as a residential neighborhood populated by a mix of young urban professionals, families and Chinese immigrants connected to the adjacent Chinatown.)

Transportation is very easy, several Muni lines and the famous Cable Car are just steeps away.

A 10 minutes bike ride will take you to Downtown or the Golden Gate Bridge.

This studio would be ideal for couples, small families or people visiting the city for a short period of time.

It's very clean and quiet and will offer you a nice place where to relax and sleep after a long day in the city.

A single speed bicycle and an electric guitar that can be used upon request.

  • The apartment was just what we expected and just as described. It's very conveniently located in a great neighborhood and only a short walk to the waterfront, Union Square, etc. It can be a little loud if you aren't used to urban living (the bedroom windows overlook Columbus Avenue) but that's to be expected. My only complaint was that I couldn't figure out how to turn down the volume on the record player. Leon has an excellent collection of vinyl but it was too loud to play. We didn't get to meet Leon in person but we texted and he was helpful and made sure our stay was good. I would definitely stay here again.

  • I stayed here for 5 days while on a work-related trip to attend a conference in SF finacial district. Forget staying in a hotel... Leon's studio was so much better! The apartment is clean, cozy, and had everything I needed to wind down each day after the conference. The 15-minute walk to/from the heart of downtown was refreshing and just a slow grade uphill. Its also only 10-minute walk to Fishermans Wharf. Each time I stepped out of the studio, the wafting smells of garlic bread and Italian food filled the air. There are a plethora of fantastic restautants within 2 blocks. Cafe Roma had the best coffee and breakfast, (email hidden)ly morning vibe. Too many dinner and dessert places to name. Leon's studio is all Ikea decked out. The shower was heavenly! The bed was extremely comfy, but it is a full size. I am used to that so I didnt mind. Wifi and plenty of outlets made my stay convenient. I wish the record player worked, because Leon has quite a range of music to choose from. Leon was extremely responsive every time I contacted him and very flexible. The parking is a bitch, though... You have to pay the kiosk at 8am and by 8pm every day and the rates change daily. It ranges from $8 on a monday day, $15 for wednedsay night, and $20 for sunday. There are only 15 tiny spots to park. It got full often. But horrible parking is something I expected from San Francisco. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Leon was a gracious and friendly host. He promptly met us in North Beach and gave us a tour of the studio. While we didn't have the opportunity to chat with Leon much, he was very attentive and responded within minutes whenever I texted him with questions. The studio itself is clean, comfortable, and extremely well-located, within walking distance of many tourist spots and restaurants/bars. I'd happily stay in this place again. Thanks, Leon!

  • The apartment's nice and cosy, the location is just perfect, there are bunch of grocery and liquor shops in the neighbourhood, also cafes and restaurants. Moreover, we didn't take any buses cause the place is steps from the most interesting sights. Leon is a great host, he is friendly and helpful. Recommended!

  • Leon's place is a really cool apartment with all of the amenities you could need. The combination of the price, location, and space was very optimal for myself and my girlfriend. The location is awesome with only a short walk to the bay or other attractions. The only downside is that it is located on a bust street over shops and restaurants so it is noisy very early in the morning. However, this was easily compensated for by the aforementioned perks. I highly recommend Leon's place for traveling to San Fran.

  • Very well located apartment, just 10 minutes walking from the main piers and union square. Plenty of l restaurants and bars. Perfect for street walkers.

Cleanliness and calmness are not the main features. The apartment was unclean (lot of hairs and dust) which made our stay not perfect
We had earplugs so we could sleep well.

  • Great location in the heart of North Beach. Best restaurants and coffees in SF next door. Also the flat is great, has everything you need and the bed was so comfortable. Even with my jetlag I slept like a baby. I was really sad to leave the flat and wish I lived there.

  • This is such a great location, right in the heart of North Beach. My wife and I stayed for 6 days, and we almost felt like locals after a couple of days, which never would have happened if we had stayed in a hotel. We only met Leon once, but he is a great guy and very helpful.
The appartment is nice and has everything you need, but you should expect some noise from the street.
    Would stay again!
