Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
Located in a historical charming town 12 mi. south of Toledo, this 1890’s home provides the perfect guest accommodations for a relaxing get-a-way.
A private electronic key entry leads to a second-floor suite with 2 Q-bedrooms, kitchenette, bathroom w/ tub/shower, stool and sink. Guests are invited to unwind on the wraparound porch (May-October).
Off-street parking is available for one car.
Close to I-75, 80/90 and Rt 24.
Sleeps 4 (ages 7 and up) and is not handicap accessible due to stairs.

The space
The River Road Inn and Sweets is in our 1890's home and has its own unique charm.
In 2020, this space was totally renovated and updated. These updates, bring a special feel to this guest space, without losing the uniqueness of the home. Yes, there is a wonderful history to our home and the surrounding area, but it is not for everyone.
If you’re expecting the Hilton, our home is 135 years old, unique, and therefore, will by definition, have its own character. We have installed the latest amenities and conveniences.
We believe that if you like charm and character, this is the best place for rest and relaxation in NW Ohio.
Included in the small kitchenette, is a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, electric tea kettle and Keurig coffee maker. You will have plates, glasses, silverware and additional serve ware should you need it. There are supplies for cleaning up spills.
The dining area will seat up to 4 guests. You will find a private entrance, hardwood floors, private off-street parking in a safe neighborhood as well as Wi-Fi and TV's in each bedroom.
Located in a single-family homes area with walkable sidewalks, The front porch is available for enjoyment (May-Oct.) and we believe it is the best place to unwind from a busy day of fun.

We have many local guides and tourist information for your use. Come stay and explore.

Guest access
We are situated in a neighborhood that has sidewalks and speed limits. Parking for our guests is the third space of the driveway and also on Ransom Street.
Your suite is upstairs. There, you will find 2 bedrooms (1 Queen each), a bathroom, a gathering area/living room, and a kitchenette; all exclusively yours.
We are here should you need us, but otherwise, come and go as you please.

By being our guests, you are providing support for our ministry: Love and Luggage. If you would like to know more about this, please don't hesitate to ask!
10% of our host revenue is used to support our grass roots program supporting young adults aging out of foster care.

If we are not in town when you are our guests, we have an emergency contact should there be a need. This happens very rarely, but it does occur, and we will let you know if this is the case.

Neighborhood highlights

Quiet residential family-like setting. Sidewalks for strolling or the newly paved River Tow Path for hiking. We are close to several bike paths. Within 5 min of Side Cut Metro Park which is historic and runs alongside the Maumee River. Uptown Maumee is a 3-5 minute drive. There are 3 ice cream spots within a short distance and well over a dozen small businesses in Uptown Maumee.
Small town feel with big town amenities for all ages.

Having a travel bug since childhood...I enjoy staying in B and B's rather than hotels...they provide a great venue and home-like setting. We are brand new at hosting and look forward to this new experience. We are married, enjoy cycling, reading, and gardening.
