I enjoyed my 2-week stay at Claudia's. The location is superb: within short walk to Newburry St., Berklee College and others. Trader Joe, CVS pharmacy, Newburry Hardware, etc are close-by. The half-basement is easily accessed via the back alley. Traffic noise in the winter is not a problem, which is remarkable for being on busy Commonwealth Ave. Well appointed apt. with a nice small kitchen I used to prepare several full meals. Beautiful hardwood floors (but no carpets). Excellent TV with cable.
The apartment is in a beautiful classic Commonwealth Ave building, downstairs from ground level but still somehow quite light and fresh inside. The hallway to the apartment's front door is a little grungy and service-closetlike but once you get in the door the apartment is very large, nicely open, and cleanly decorated, dominated by the shiny hardwood floors, white walls, and tasteful furniture. The impression is serene and the aesthetic is mindful and pleasant. Claudia left clear instructions and was accommodating and friendly. I would come back.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So close to all the main attractions, Metro and great eating places.
With Boston hotels so expensive, Claudia's place is great value.
I had the pleasure of booking with Claudia. This was the first time I've used the Airbnb website and it was a very positive experience. Communicating with Claudia was easy and she was very helpful in getting me oriented to the area. The accommodations were perfect and the location couldn't have been better. I would highly recommend booking your stay at Claudia's place on Commonwealth Ave. I look forward to staying again when I'm in town.
Perfect location just blocks from Newbury Street! Comfortable living space. Even enjoyed a complimentary bottle of white wine! Thanks Claudia! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Boston!
Great place that is 2 blocks from the Hynes Center (where I had a conference). The design is really nice inside, and it sits on gorgeous Commonwealth Ave outside. Kind of perfect for what I needed.
Claudia was an extremely accommodating host and did everything she could to ensure we were comfortable in her apartment. The apartment itself is very charming and clean, and the location is perfect. We really enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to anyone going to Boston.
Claudia made our stay in Boston one of our best trips ever. She was prompt to reply to my questions when I booked some 3 months in advance, and was communicative all the way through to check out. Although she was out of town, she did well to respond to questions and anticipate some that we had. The short guide she included with the keys (sent via FedEx so no hitches) was a great and well thought out.
The studio itself, apart from being in a fantastic location, is truly cozy and beautiful in the old world sense. It's also on the ground floor which just makes everything extremely convenient.
My fiancee and I were looking for a place to call home for 7 days and that's exactly what we got. I didn't notice it at first, but the sofa upon arrival had little Tiffany-blue throw pillows wrapped in white ribbon, just like a jewellery box! My fiancee instantly felt at home. Nice touch. The wi-fi worked well and the free on-demand TV was a welcome surprise for us.
I'm happy to recommend Claudia and her beautiful studio to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in Boston.
I can't say enough postive things about Claudia and how great she was to work with. We stayed in her studio apartment for the Boston Marathon, which I ran. From the moment I contacted her to inquire about her apartment, she was so friendly, professional, and prompt with her responses. I was impressed that she didn't hike the price up for the weekend of the marathon, which many people on Airbnb were doing. It was nice to feel like we were still getting a great deal during such a busy weekend, especially so close to the finish line where the hotel rooms go for $300-500/night in the same area.
I booked with her about 7 months in advance, and whenever I sent her a message to touch base with her and make sure everything with the reservation was still on target, she always got back to me promptly and assured me it was. I was very glad for that because booking so far in advance, I worried at times that it might fall through somehow. Not with Claudia, she was very dependable.
She wasn't in town during our stay, so she Fed Ex'd me the key before we left. I thought that was really nice of her, and it was good to have to it when we got there. The apartment itself was very charming and in a fabulous location, very central to many of the cool things to do in Boston, and a short walk to the Copley T station.
When we arrived, she'd left us a celebratory bottle of wine in the fridge for after the marathon. As one can imagine, however, we were not doing any celebrating that night because of the bombings, but it was a very thoughtful gesture of her and we really appreciated it. When she heard about the bombings, she was very concerned for us and contacted us right away to see if we were okay. She was very relieved when she heard we were, and I was very touched by her concern.
I'm so glad we were able to stay in Claudia's apartment, and would reccomend it to anyone. She really is a class act, and her place and the location can't be beat.
Claudia's place was really cosey and nice. It was in a great location for walking to the Freedom Trail and checking out all the sights of Boston. Back bay is a lovely area and Joe's American Bar and Grill is basically on the same block which is great to get breakfast and a Bloody Mary to start the day. Claudia was really considerate in regards to all aspects of the stay especially flexibility about cancelling due to bad weather conditions. She also left a fire log out to use in the fireplace. Not sure that happens for everyone but it was a really nice touch. I'd reccommend Claudia's place to anyone.
