Location

Tinn, Telemark, Norway

From the top of the mountain Gaustatoppen, which is the highest point in the area, one can see 1/6 of Norway's total area.
Up to Gaustatoppen, Gaustabanan is a unique mountain train that goes into the mountain itself up to 1800 meters. It starts with a train running horizontally 860 meters straight into the mountain.

If you are skiing early in the season, Gaustablikk is a great opportunity as it is one of two ski resorts in Norway that open their slopes early and you can go skiing in Gaustablikk in December. On Gaustatoppen you can go skiing all the way to midsummer!

In recent years, Gaustablikk has gone through a major development and today the resort is a modern and family-friendly destination for the holiday with something for all tastes.

Winter:
In Gaustablikk there are many different difficulty levels and 12 lifts, of which 2 chairlifts. The longest piste is 2500 meters long and the resort today has 28 kilometers of well-prepared slopes for enjoyable skiing. Evening skiing two evenings a week in three slopes.

Snow proof Gaustablikk has 100 km of machine-prepared cross country tracks, offering all the difficulty levels from easy beginners tracks of 2 km to a real high mountain trip of 23 km. Lighted trails.
You can also challenge the summit on randonné skis.

Summer:
Around Gaustablikk you have a wonderful beautiful nature. Here you can cycle, hike, run, rest, paddle or swim. Or you can try the fish luck in one of the many ponds in the area. Also do not miss many cultural opportunities in Rjukan; Heavy water, saboteurs and maybe bungy-jump.
