Luxurious two bedroom two bath condo is on Savannah's most beautiful street. All on one floor with an elevator up from the covered parking garage. Lovely courtyard with fountain. double width patio. All new appliances. One year lease required.
This listing details the guest room in a two room luxury condo in a safe quiet neighborhood on Savannah's most beautiful street in the downtown Historic District. This a private bedroom room for a bed and an office. The condo comes unfurnished and the association requires a one year lease. The adjacent bath has a private entrance from the guest bedroom and a public entrance from the hall. It is fully modern and features a champaign bubble jet tub (ahhhh).
Shared space: there is a courtyard featuring a fountain right outside your patio, and a picnic area at the Montgomery Street end of the complex.
Location. Our 1360 sq ft condo on Savannah's most beautiful street is easy to find and a convenient walk to everything. Other so called Historic district airbnb listings with street numbers instead of street names are an indication that the neighborhood is actually in the Victorian District, and not in the Savannah Historic downtown. "Close to Forsyth Park" can also be code for the Victorian District instead of the actual Savannah Historic downtown. Forsyth Park is awesome, as are parts of the Victorian District, but some of the neighborhoods are not.
Included in your years lease is the water, sewer, natural gas, grounds up keep, trash, recycling, and exterior lights. You are responsible for electric, cable and internet.
Concierge: We've lived in Savannah for three or four years and are happy to answer your questions about it's many restaurants, historic homes, parks and activities. We can give you directions to our wonderful local grocery store or health food store, so you don't pay $9 a half pound for fruit salad at the Parkers on Drayton Street.
Saving (website hidden) your own meals in our kitchen and doing laundry in our utility room is fine. Have at it. Do your prep work in the morning and come back from a fun day at the beach to fresh bread smell coming from the bread machine, and something yummy in the crock pot (beans or ribs?).
Safety and verification. This is our home, not a hotel. We take great care in selecting guests who are a good fit for us. We aren't going to approve you until you've completed Airb&b's verification process. We need a photo that accurately represents your face, a full name and actual hometown, links to your social networks, your phone number and identity verified etc. You've had a good look at my profile, we'll want a good look at yours.
Illegal activity will not be tolerated. We are not four twenty friendly. We will not turn a blind eye to underage drinking. For our safety and yours, Illegal activity will result in your being asked to immediately leave.
Parking. The condo comes with one reserved parking space in the basement parking garage just under the condo. Also, there are two guest parking spaces in our private garage that are available for my entire condo complex and they cannot be reserved. There is plenty of on street parking near by. There is long term parking in a parking garage just two blocks from my home for only $3 a day. There is 24/7 free parking on the street one block from my condo. There is also free parking in front of my condo on the weekends and in the evenings, but you have to be aware of the street sweeping schedule Friday and Saturday nights. The schedule is posted near all on street parking. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday you must feed coins to any parking meters, but evenings and weekends the metered parking is free. Or go pay an annual fee for a parking sticker that allows you to park your car without additional fees at any time day or night within a block of our condo.
Savannah is pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Park your car for the duration and enjoy strolling through our fabulous neighborhoods and business districts. We have bicycles you can borrow if you will be responsible for them. There is also a free public shuttle that will take you anywhere/everywhere in the historic district.
I love Savannah and will be happy to show you around if my schedule allows it. Part of hosting in my home is the chance to get to know you. I promise to be respectful of your privacy, but please do ask if you want company or assistance or recommendations. I am gone quite a bit, but there is always someone close by to help if I'm not available.
Please tell me how to make your stay wonderful.

This is a condo, so you can't be noisy, ever. So, if you were looking for a wild party, pass us by. Civil dinner parties, or inviting a guest or two to watch a movie is fine, but please don't buzz my neighbors to be let in.

I recently had the pleasure of staying with RJ and Bruce while I attended a conference in Savannah. Their Historic District home was just a few blocks from the conference center, making my "commute" in the morning effortless (and beautiful and scenic, too).
They were incredible hosts: they provided me a delicious dinner the night I arrived after an 11-hour drive; they allowed me the space and privacy I needed when I had to do work; and they were generous with their time and with what their home had to offer. I loved telling stories with RJ over breakfast, then taking a tour with her of the Historic District on segways. I was also free to use the kitchen as I liked, and I relaxed my last evening in their terrific massage chair.
Truly wonderful hosts! If I'm ever back in Savannah, I would love to stay with them again.
Two friends and I stayed with RJ and Bruce over a long holiday weekend. They were very kind and welcoming hosts, and even offered to loan us bikes to explore Savannah. The bedroom and adjacent bathroom were very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for the three of us. The apartment is convenient and easy to access - literally one minute off the I-16, with free street parking available just one block over. The location is wonderful for exploring Savannah by foot - just a few minutes walk down beautiful historic streets dripping with spanish moss, and you're in the center of town. Overall, a great spot to stay in Savannah! Highly recommend.
Craig and I (Rheisa) had a wonderful experience staying with RJ and Bruce. The condo is located in the Historic District within walking distance from almost everything. RJ and Bruce were the best kind of hosts, offering privacy and company as we desired. They gave us detailed information about the great historic places to visit and lots of inside information on the best places to eat (a subject near and dear to our hearts!). The bedroom was lovely and the bathroom beautifully done with the coolest glass sink we'd ever seen. Also the bubble tub was awesome for a bath lover (Rheisa).
RJ and Bruce have led interesting lives and are very well traveled. One evening they cooked an Asian style dinner for us that was absolutely amazing. RJ is abundantly creative and her work is displayed everywhere in their home (some of Bruce's, too). RJ is such an outgoing person she actually guided us on her Segway to make sure we found the right road to get us on journey up to Hilton Head!
All in all our experience staying with them was top notch and we look forward to visiting again sometime in the future.
Rj's place is within very easy walking distance of nearly anywhere you'd want to go in the downtown historic district - several museums, tours, shops, etc. Free street parking isn't too hard to find around their place, too, which is (it seemed) an unusual bonus for the historic district. We had a good time in Savannah while there to attend a wedding.
Rj was out of town also attending a wedding the weekend we stayed, but her husband was home and was a great and generous host. We felt at home.
RJ had a family emergency, but her husband Bruce was a great host - friendly and eager to please. The bedroom and attached bath were comfortable and squeaky clean. A wonderful location, as advertised, with the beautiful Savannah historic district just a few blocks away, the waterfront a 15-20 minute walk, and Forsyth Park (perfect for running) a 10 minute walk. And a great local pub, the Crystal Beer Palace, right across the street. I look forward to my next stay with RJ and Bruce.
Thank you for the good review. I just want to clarify that we are in the historic district, not a few blocks away. The boundaries are defined by the National Park Service at (website hidden) Our condo is new construction on the site of the old Crystal Ice Factory, which is where the beer parlour across the street gets its name. Across another street is the old public stables and one block south is the old Chrystal Confectionary, where candies were made and sold and light housekeeping rooms above were rented by people traveling into town to catch the train. Sadly, we lost the beautiful old train station when the interstate off ramps were put in. However, our city plans to remove the ramps in the near future. It won't be quite as easy to drive to our street then, but how many off ramps do we really need?
Had a great stay at Rj's condo. The room with attached bathroom is large, nicely furnished and very comfortable. And full access to the great kitchen. A pot of coffee made fresh awaits you every morning.
A great location, within walking of any place in the HIstorical District.
Very quiet at night. The Crystal Beer Palace has good food and drinks right across the street.
Our hosts were fantastic. They were gracious and made us feel at home. We enjoyed having coffee on the veranda overlooking the garden. We found their home to be conveniently located and highly recommend staying here versus the hustle and bustle of a touristy hotel. Thank you and we look forward to our next visit.
