Enjoy your stay in this spacious two bedroom unique townhouse in the historic LeDroit Park neighborhood. It is close to U Street, two blocks from the great new Howard Theatre, and three blocks from the Shaw Metro. It has many original finishes from its 1890 construction and is tastefully renovated and modern.
The townhouse has a washer and dryer en suite and a spacious, fully equipped, professional kitchen. The range and kitchen are ideal if you are staying longer and want to cook.
The WiFi has a strong connection throughout the apartment. There is a 45" flat screen TV with a DirecTV connection and an abundant DVD collection. On the lower level, a recently designed half bath features Potuguese tile. In the master bedroom, the high ceilings accentuate the space of the king size bed, which has a comfortable mattress and plenty of bedding. The upstairs bathroom has a modern doorless shower with three heads. The second bedroom has a seated desk and workspace.
Lounge in the spacious patio, which features a pergola. On nice days, you can enjoy the weather in the hammock below.
Street parking is available and I have a permit that will allow you to park nearby. But why drive? It a five to ten minute walk to the 9:30 Club and other nightlife in the heart of U Street. Happy to give recommendations on restaurants and nightlife suitable to all budgets. There is a Hertz pay as you go rental adjacent to the property and a Zipcar is a couple blocks away.
Each bedroom comfortably accommodates 2 people. More could fit on the two couches in the living room. Flexible with check in/check out unless someone has booked the night before or after the stay.

Our stay with Ethan was great, seamless. Ethan was very responsive and attended to our questions and quick to resolving a small matter in the house.
We were not as close to the metro as we would have liked, but the neighborhood was nice. Ethan gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and we felt very comfortable there.
Thanks for the stay!
Glad you enjoyed your stay. About metro proximity, the house is on 4th street and the north entrance to the Shaw/Howard Metro is on 7th street. (website hidden) Maps has the distance as a 7 minute, 0.3 mile walk. I'm closer to the Metro than every location in Bloomingdale, most in LeDroit Park, and many in Shaw.
We had such a fantastic time at Ethan's! The house is gorgeous and there's so many personal touches that really make the house. Also it's very close to U Street and anything you could want to do. Definitely staying here on our next trip!
This rowhouse is exactly as described. It is a great place in a good neighborhood. Ethan was very accommodating and gracious. He even made two trips over to the house to fix some problems that we had. I'd stay here again.
Very nice house, full of character and well-equipped with wifi, linens, a great kitchen. Nice location near U Street and not far from downtown. Ethan made checking in and out easy and was very helpful. Highly recommended.
Wonderful place with great ambiance and very nice decor. It was very clean and setup perfectly for us. The outdoor patio with couches was fabulous for relaxing in the sunshine. Would highly recommend!
The house is beautiful, and so is the neighborhood (which is also conveniently located). Communication with Ethan worked perfectly - we had to find a new place after we had our previous reservation cancelled, and he responded quickly. Would definitely recommend staying there.
Had a great stay in Ethan's rowhouse. We were a larger group, 4 adults and one child and found the rowhouse charming and comfortable. The location worked out well for us. We had a car and Ethan provided us with a parking pass and even late at night neighborhood street parking was not difficult. We arranged everything with Ethan via email and he answered promptly and was helpful.
Ledroit Park was great, and Ethan was an excellent host. He sent a great big welcome letter with all of the highlights of the area, and DC. Short walk to Ben's Chili Bowl, and there is some great Ethiopian and Czech right near there.
