A memorable stay in our listed Full Georgian Townhouse with private garden in New Town, city centre. Located just 2 minutes walk from Princes street you are truly in the heart of the city with all amenities within 2 minutes walk.

The space

Welcome to our Georgian Townhouse.

With its traditional kitchen (well used) and welcoming living-room which both opens on to the private rear garden patio and cosy front bedrooms - this is our lovely garden flat. It is a combination of period charm and modern wellness and offers a homely 'Edinburgh' experience in Scotland's capital. It is the only 'B' listed Georgian Townhouse property available in city centre as a whole that comes with a private garden.

Rooms: Small double room with double bed. Ensuite room with double bed plus extra mattress. Living room can hold a fold up bed for 1.

We do live in the townhouse so please respect the property and our neighbours.

Getting here is super easy. From Airport take the Tram to York Place and we are 2 minutes walk down hill. From bus station we are 5 minutes walk. From Waverley Train Station we are 8 minutes walk. Taxi is the best price for 4 or more people sharing.

Guest access

This is the garden floor flat, part of a 4 floor Georgian Townhouse. 52A is basement stairs, around 9 steps.

Interaction with guests

I try to greet guests to pass over keys and show them around the apartment and answer any questions. I provide a phone number that can be contacted 24hrs. If I'm at work, an arrangement of keys will be noted.

Check in time is important to us, so once you've made your travel arrangements please do let us know.

Other things to note

We have one ensuite shower room, and a separate bathroom with bath + hand held shower.

If you require the sofa bed to be set up let us know so we can prepare this for you. Sleeps 1.

We are a self catering house, so please do bring your own supplies. We do have the basics of tea, coffee and some cooking items. Tesco/health food shop is just 1 minute away where you can get your daily essentials.

No shoes in the bedroom please. Kick them off in the hallway. There is plenty of room in the hall to leave shoes or the space by the front door.

Checking out: All rubbish please throw into the communal black bin that's on the street in order to keep the house tidy and odour free.

Please use coasters on the wooden tables as these are all antiques. There has been some guests who have damaged the living room antique with hot mugs so please be careful as these are non-removable stains.

We don't really supply showering or bathing products as everyone's skin is different but there are a few basic items in there.

We live in the townhouse and have separated the garden flat as a holiday home so if you need us for anything we are always close by.

Selina’s apt was just the ticket for a quick visit to Edinburgh. A great location within walking distance to Waverley Station the castle and a host of good restaurants.

Selina was friendly, very clear and accurate, welcoming, and quick to reply when we had questions. Her place is spacious and beautiful, an easy walk to everything, and couldn't have been better for my husband and me along with my parents for a lovely weekend. Highly recommended!!

The house is fantastic, exactly like in the pictures. The location is close to the center, while in a quiet area, with lots of restaurants and shops at a 5 minutes walking distance. Selina prepared us a cot for our baby and everything was clean, we would repeat again!!

We enjoyed the garden apartment- great location, host communication and very spacious. Olde Town was walking distance, public transport was readily accessible and lots of great restaurants, bars and coffee shops within a block or two. Would definitely recommend for a short or long term stay in Edinburgh!

The apartment/flat is quite spacious with tall ceilings and a sunny living room with a fireplace. The internet was fast. The kitchen was outdated, but comfortable. Also reasonable considering the great value of the whole place. The master bedroom was also lovely and spacious, and we loved the tall ceilings. Great location! It is walkable to all the sights in Edinburgh even with our 5-year old, while having nearby (few minutes walk) grocery shop and cafes, and being a quiet/residential street. This is one of the best Airbnb places I've stayed, and we would stay there again!
