I have a small but very bright 1 BR apartment just steps from the shops of downtown Mill Valley, the redwoods of Old Mill Park, and the Dipsea stairs.
Great views of Mt. Tam and a short walk distance to everything Mill Valley has to offer including world-class hiking and mountain biking along with coffee, shops, and restaurants.
Easy access to the Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, and Mt. Tamalpais State Park by car. Catch the bike path to Sausalito or Tiburon for a scenic ferry ride into SF, or drive 10 miles to to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Your sleeping accommodation is the couch (please note that it is NOT a pull-out couch) in my living room, which is super comfy, or a very nice queen-size air mattress. Shared bathroom. Access to kitchen. Secure storage for your bike and gear.
Laundry facilities on site. Garage for bikes and gear.
Interaction with Guests
I am often away, and when I'm here, I'm in and out- Happy to visit if I'm not working on my computer.
Redwood trees are everywhere. Lots of good restaurants and live music.
Public transit is ok. Feel free to ask me about how to get around, but note that I know very little about buses! From SFO, take the Marin Airporter Bus. It's $20 and brings you to a bus stop at the edge of Mill Valley where you can catch a cab.
Smoking allowed outdoors only. No shoes inside, please. Make yourself at home!
This was my 2nd time staying on Jaqueline's couch. The couch was just as comfortable as the 1st time, the view just as beautiful, the location just as practical, and Jacqueline just as friendly and prepared! A pleasure staying here.
Jacqueline went out of her way to make me feel welcome, and I had a beautifully restful night in her haven in the midst of Mill Valley. It made for a great weekend and I look forward to the next time I can stay here.
Jacqueline was welcoming from before I arrived, she got in touch before I left home to let me know what the weather was going to be like, so I could prepare for threatened rain. Jacqueline was considerate, thoughtful, well organised - an ideal host. Right down to letting me select from a range of pillows for my bed. In the morning I was leaving to hike a few miles down to the coast, and Jacqueline re-arranged her Saturday morning hike group to accompany me the first part of my trip, and made sure I was on the right path. She even took my luggage later that morning in her car to the place I was going to, so that I did not have to hike with a heavy pack. Jacqueline is a special person.
Jacqueline's house is a delight. Tasteful, cosy, very clean and well organised but also very homely. Very close to the Depot and the centre of the town. Walk around the town with Jacqueline and you'll be stopping to meet locals with her.
A stay at Jacqueline's is immersion in the special place that is Mill Valley
Jacqueline was such a great host, so hospitable, kind and fun. This was the perfect spot for me, since it was walkable to the Wedding I attended at the Outdoor Art Gallery.
Jacqueline communicated well prior to and during my visit to Mill Valley. She was a great hostess and gave me helpful tips on getting around the area. Her place is only 2 blocks from the heart of downtown Mill Valley so very well situated for walking into town for coffee, meals or entertainment. She offers a sofa or blow up mattress in her living room and a shared bathroom. The place was small, but quiet and comfortable. Thank you Jacqueline!
Staying at Jacqueline's was my first try at Airbnb and a very positive experience. Great communication, and a lovely, comfortable place. Hope to come back!
She was very friendly and she could give me some very cool ideas. Her house is perfekt situated if you are intrested for hiking or runing. I had a great time.
Open, easygoing & hospitable. Love to walk, hike, run, bike, and generally explore the outdoor world. I'm happy to make recommendations for active/outdoor or city activities during your stay.
