55 square meters (600 square feet) , 6th floor with a small lift, kitchen+ dining place, shower room (very large shower) , separate toilets, one bedroom with a double bed (140x190 cm) , large living-room with sleeping sofa.
This is my main flat. It is fully equipped : washing machine with a dryer (which can be used only for resistant and small clothes), dishwasher, oven +microwave, induction hob. There is a computer in the living room with a large screen to watch DVDs or the TV (several French and international channels are available), wifi and unlimited access to the Internet. You can give free phone calls to French landlines and to several foreign countries. The piano can be used only during the day (not at night because the neighbours want to be quiet...)
Nice and central location in Paris, between Montmartre and Opera, close to buses and several subway stations, shops everywhere in the surroundings.
Available for short term periods especially when I am travelling (minimum 2 nights, maximum 2 months)
You will get a lot of light in this flat located on the last floor of a small and quiet building.
Guests have access to all the equipments, kitchen tools, computer, hair-dryer, etc. User-guides are available for the guests once arrived and welcomed.
The neighborhood is very nice. Families and artists like the location, everybody loving shopping in the famous rue des Martyrs, going by foot to the numerous theaters or to cinemas on the Grands Boulevards, easy to walk to the touristist area of the Sacré-Coeur Montmartre (5 minutes) or to the Grands Magasins (Galeries Lafayettes 10 minutes)
The flat is very close to Gare du Nord station (10-15 minutes by foot) where all RER B trains coming from Paris airports stop.
The bus no 85 stops in front of the building and drives you directely to the Louvre Museum, the Seine River, the quartier Latin, the Luxembourg Garden.
The Bus no 42 stops 3 minutes away down the street and drives you directly to Concorde, The Champs-Elysées, The Eiffel Tower.
A lot of other bus stops are very close.
Their are available bikes (Velib station) and cars (Autolib station) 1 minute walk from home.
And public parkings lots if necessary at 5 minutes (Parking Saint Georges rue Clauzel or Vinci Park Anvers)
The building is very quiet, and I ask my guests to avoid any noise, namely not to play the piano at all between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m, and to use slippers to walk in the flat ( I provide slippers of different sizes...), to welcome their own friends if any only during the day, and for the same reasons, I prefer not to welcome young children.
L'appartement est calme et lumineux, le quartier agreable a proximite des Grands Magasins, de l'Opera et de la rue des Martyrs. Nous avons passe un tres bon sejour et recommenderions cette adresse.
Edith's place is beautiful! Brilliant location, very comfortable. She's very organised so it was easy to arrange check-in/check-out. I would highly recommend Edith and her place.
Edith was a great host and was very quick to respond to any questions or problems during our 2 week stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated just as described with plenty of space and is in a great location. Transport is very close and easy to use and there are plenty of lovely restaurants and stores around the area. There is everything you could possibly need. Make sure to go around the neighbourhood and check out the nearby markets and shops. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this apartment for anyone staying in Paris.
The apartment is amazing! A real atmospheric Parisian loft apartment, and beautifully decorated. It is extremely quiet and very close to public transport. Around the apartment there is also a great selection of local shops. Edith was not in Paris at the time but was available throughout via email and phone. We arrived late and left late but that was not a problem for her. I would definitely recommend booking this apartment!
Edith's home is a gem in the Montemare neighborhood. Fully equiped kitchen, comfortable bed in the bedroom, pullout bed in the living room. Lots of natural light, very cozy. Quiet street, neighborhood has plenty of restaurants, shops and food markets.
The flat was just as described - very quaint, cozy, comfortable, and lovely. It had been cleaned before our arrival and Edith arranged for us to get into the flat and pick up the keys per our convenience, even though we were arriving early in the morning. There was a bit of a problem on the first day getting in as something was blocking the door, but Edith promptly arranged for maintenance and the issue was quickly resolved. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of cookware, etc so we had a great time cooking in. As described, the bathroom is very small but updated with modern amenities and is very nice. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet with restaurants, patisseries, and bars close by and Montmartre close by bustling with tourists. It is also close to train stations, but we enjoyed walking most places (the major shopping areas and the Louvre are a 30 minute walk). We did not meet Edith but she was very helpful, responsive, and accommodating. Overall - a very pleasant stay for a first timer in France in a lovely flat and neighborhood.

I've been living in this flat in central Paris since more than 30 years ago. My 3 children were born there. They went first to school in the same street, rue Rodier, then in the neighborhood. When they became students and were still living with me, I reorganized the rather large flat to get spaces for each of us. Now I welcome guests now and then.
I'm a scientist, travelling a lot, either abroad (I worked in Ivory Coast, in South Africa, in Morocco) or in France, going rather often to the countryside South-West of France to visit my family.
