About this listing
I have a small but very bright 1 BR apartment just steps from the shops of downtown Mill Valley, the redwoods of Old Mill Park, and the Dipsea stairs.
Great views of Mt. Tam and a short walk distance to everything Mill Valley has to offer including world-class hiking and mountain biking along with coffee, shops, and restaurants. I have a super comfy couch and an equally comfy, queen-size air mattress. I strive to provide you with privacy, but I live above a 3-car garage (no cars), so you are getting a cozy, convenient and lovely space. My view makes you feel like you are in the trees, even though you are practically downtown.
Easy access to the Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, and Mt. Tamalpais State Park by car. Catch the bike path to Sausalito or Tiburon for a scenic ferry ride into SF, or drive 10 miles to to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Your sleeping accommodation is the couch (please note that it is NOT a pull-out couch) in my living room, which is super comfy, or a very nice queen-size air mattress. Shared bathroom. Access to kitchen. Secure storage for your bike and gear.
Laundry facilities on site. Garage for bikes and gear.
Interaction with Guests
I am often away, and when I'm here, I'm in and out- Happy to visit if I'm not working on my computer.
Redwood trees are everywhere. Lots of good restaurants and live music. Dipsea steps are two blocks away as is the famous Sweetwater Music Hall, the 142 Throckmorton theater, coffee shops, restaurants, and of course, Redwood trees.
Public transit is ok. Feel free to ask me about how to get around, but note that I know very little about buses! From SFO, take the Marin Airporter Bus. It's $20 and brings you to a bus stop at the edge of Mill Valley where you can catch a cab.
Smoking allowed outdoors only. No shoes inside, please. Make yourself at home!
Jacqueline was an excellent host. This was my first time using Airbnb and she made it very easy and enjoyable. She offered to put out the air mattress, but the couch was more than enough for me. Slept like the dead. She also gave me pointers on where to hike and we grabbed burgers at a very cool restaurant the night I got there. I'd highly recommend her, and am glad for the homely and hospitable experience. I may be turned off of hotels from here out!
Wow! Dipsea! Mill Valley! I hesitate sharing too much as I want to keep this place to myself... Great location. Great host. I'll be back
Jacqueline was very helpful. She made me feel welcome. Her house is in a nice neighborhood, a five minute walk to the town plaza and a five minute walk to the park.
I stayed in Jacqueline's home and hiked both the Dipsea and Mt. Tam. Her home is in a great location to hike and explore downtown Mill Valley (3 minute walk!). She is very friendly and kindly let me borrow her maps, suggested delicious options close by, and even hiked to the foot of these trails making sure I don't get lost in my solo hikes. I would love to stay with her again!
Jacqueline inspired me to write a story about my travels with Air BnB.
I loved staying at her cozy place .. Whole story coming soon!
Jacqueline is one of the best Airbnb host I've ever met. Her house is clean and easy to find. She's very friendly and helpful. In the morning when I was almost missed my bus, she climbed 800 stairs together with me and tried to help me catch the bus. She also messaged me afterwards and asking my condition. This is really a lovely day especially because of her. Thanks a lot!
Jacqueline's place was beyond perfect for my needs. The description was very accurate as well. Her communication was strong before I had arrived, and eased any concerns I might have had. She had some sensible easy to follow instructions.
My only regret was that I did not get to meet her in person. Perhaps next time!
