The communication with Eran and Jerry was very good and made us feel welcome.
Although old, the appartment is nice and clean and situated in a great neighborhood. It was a pity that there were construction works at night (during the first night), in the building on the left, and people shouting on the street for hours, on the second night... but hey... this is NY. The mattress of the bed was very good (important when you walk all day!) Al together we had a great time!
Please see comments in english below.
This appartment is dirty : bathtub full of hairs, heater covered with black dust, kitchen not clean, one sheet only to protect from the mattress…
Jerry was rude on our departure because apparently he was running late but we were on time, (website hidden). As our plane was scheduled to leave at 10.00pm, that was already early for us to get our luggage.
Eran asked us if everthing was all right when we arrived or the day after but what can we say? We did not want to find ourselves in the street with our luggage at 10.00am on our departure day. Plus, as it is Jerry who “does the housework”, I do not see how the problem could have been fixed? Call back Jerry and ask him to do what he had not done?
Finally this apartment is not fit for children and you need ear plugs if you want to sleep The apartment is on the 2nd floor and there are bars in the street.
We do not add positive comments as it is like buying a broken watch, it can look nice (which the apartment doesn’t) but if it does not work, who cares.
I am truly sorry for the bad experience you have encountered.
As for the cleanliness of the apartment you could have just mentioned it when I asked you if everything was OK and I could have sent someone right away, after all you did stay there for two weeks and there was enough problem to fix it. that's a bit unfair on your part.:(
As for your check out, I was kind enough to let you check out late instead of 12pm and I also told you to leave the key in a specific place after you lock the door.
As for Jerry's behavior I am truly sorry and I will get to bottom of it with him.
As for the noise, I know it gets a bit noisy on the weekend and I have no control of it, after all it is New York.
Again, sorry for that and next time just please communicate with me:)
El apartamento es tal cual la descripcion, a pocos metros hay muchos bares y restoranes.
Subte cerca con convinaciones a todos los barrios.
La avenida Broadway a 700 metros con todas las marcas.
El barrio es tranquilo y seguro.
Eran siempre estuvo atento a nosotros.
Jerry fue muy servicial.
Todo fue como lo planeado.
The apartment is such that the description, a few meters there are many bars and restaurants.
Subway closely with convinations all neighborhoods.
Broadway at 700 meters with all brands.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe.
Eran was always attentive to us.
Jerry was very helpful.
Everything went as planned.
My sister and I were very happy with our stay here. Eran and Jerry were very helpful and welcoming. There was some noise during the night from the bar right beside the apartment building, but we've experienced worse. :) It was so nice to have an affordable, basic place to stay in Manhattan. Also, as a previous reviewer mentioned, an NSFW painting is something to be aware of if you're traveling with children.
Great place, great stay. Eran and jerry are very nice and welcoming. Good location, safe, good size space. Interesting funky decor.
My son (10) and I visited Manhattan for a couple of days of touring. The loft was perfect for our needs. We had the queen sized bed and my son was very comfortable on the couch which converted to a small bed.
We used the kitchen to keep down lunch and dinner costs and had very good access to subway lines located nearby.
The neighborhood was safe and centrally located for the attractions we wanted to see. (Battery Park, 9/11 memorial, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, etc.).
A couple of things about the loft that you may need to know:
If you have a child, be aware of a painting that is NSFW. While I didn't even notice it, The Boy saw it and asked about the "Porn" on the wall. I am a fan of art and explained away the "porn" part. He rolls with the punches, so it was no problem with us, but keep that in mind.
The other thing is there is a pipe that runs next to t he shower that is SUPER hot. I burned my hand on it twice trying to reach for a towel.
There's really not much Eran can do about it, that's how these great old buildings are in NYC, just make sure you watch out for it.
As for our host, he was always on it whenever we had a question and was quite accommodating.
I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone with a small group staying in the NYC.
Eran and Jerry were both very friendly and helpful! Jerry met my friend and I at the apartment, and showed us around and made sure that we were comfortable before leaving. Eran later checked in to see how we were doing. The apartment was beautiful and looks just like the pictures. The location was convenient, near two subway stops and close to a lot of interesting areas. The noise from the street was very loud during the night, and I could clearly hear the conversations that people had passing below the window, but it didn't bother me very much. Overall, it was a great experience.
