  • Spent a week at Eran place this spring.
The place is like on the pictures but has a bit more room and space taking NYC standards into account. The placement close to subway and walking distance to Central Soho was excellent. Our flights were delayed but Eran helped out and made sure we settled in very early in the morning.

Only thing was that the place was not a clean as I like and the noise from the temporary construction was not for the light sleepers.

Thanks for the feedback and being a great guest Kasper:)

I will make sure the apartment would be perfectly clean for the next guests and as for the temporary construction on the street I hope it will be over very soon. (According to the city of NY at least:)

  • Eran has a wonderful place with absolutly perfect position in Soho, very close to the cool bleecker street and much more nice streets. The appartment looks like it did on the photo but when we came there the feeling was much better. Such cool N.Y appartment. Great that we didn`t have to bring all sheets and stuff.
The Deli next door is open 24h, which was perfect. Eran has been so friendly and helpful to us . The "welcome" was great with good information how everything works in the appartment. We always felt that we could call/email him. And he always replied really fast. He even helped us book a minivan for us when we were going back to the Airport, which was really kind.
We highly recomend you to rent Erans place. When we go next time, we love to come back to the same appartment:) Leine, Astri, Marina and Felicity

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the loft of Eran. Everything was exactly as shown on the photo's and as described, so no surprises there. It was really easy to get in touch with Marcella, Eran's girlfriend who was welcoming us and handing over the keys, as she replied almost instantly on texts (which was handy since our flight got a 2 hour delay). There were clean towels and bedlinnen provided, which was nice. The neighboorhood (SOHO) is also a real recommend, as there are lots of hip shops and people, a nice atmosphere to live in.
There was still construction work going on before the loft, with drilling going on from 7 AM, which was rather unpleasant (but this is ofcourse something that's out of Eran's and Marcella's reach). The music of the nearby bars was acceptable, although I would recommend earplugs for hard sleepers, as the chatter of the smokers outside could get loud during weekends.
All in all a nice place to explore NYC, especially at that rate and location. A no-brainer!

  • We had an awful experience at this place. How can the host say we were the perfect guests with great communication, etc. when he never even met us? We were treated terribly. Here goes...Our arrival was scheduled between 9pm and 10pm and when we rang the buzzer at close to 10pm there was nobody there. My wife and I were left standing out in the freezing cold with nobody to greet us, make us feel welcome, show us around the apt, etc. No note at the door. Nothing. Imagine the feeling that you would have as guests. That's right...alarm bells!!!! Called the contact number numerous times (which cost me a small fortune on roaming charges), who said that she couldn't wait around and had decided to leave the keys in a bar close to the apt. This lady (wife of the host it turns out) delegated with the important task of handing over the keys, saw fit to leave them in a bar. She had poor English, very hard to understand, and when I asked her to just text me the details she said she would. Waited. No text. I subsequently saw later that night she had sent the messages to my email. Tried the host but he was in Israel and his phone was off. After repeatedly explaining our situation to the incompetent, she still refused to come to us to personally hand us the keys, and said we should ask for (email hidden). I say what bar? She says baooow, boawww, baooooow. Ended up she meant Pao Bar, not exactly favourably signed either. Don't forget, we're tourists, guests of these people. We don't know the area and we have to do a tour of the bars of that Spring Street corner area, packed with Paddy's Day revellers lugging our bags like ******** idiots. When we finally found the fabled (email hidden), who handed us the keys (and actually said welcome, which was nice), we got in to the apartment, which is itself pretty gloomy and depressing and housed in a pretty scuzzy building. Boutique Hotel!!!!!! Don't make me laugh. There is no chubb lock on the apt door and we felt quite unsafe there. Hissy spitting from the heating and a measly portable heater don't make up for the chilly nights we spent here. Thursday to Sunday there is heavy bass dance music until 4am from the bar below...just in case you were thinking of getting any sleep;) Need I go on? Lets just say, we won't be rushing back here. At least the great NYC made up for it and we won't let this experience taint the wonderful time we had in The Big A. But this review needs to be heard so other trusting Airbnbers don't fall into the black hole we found ourselves that first night in NY. Also, note to Airbnb. In emergency situations like this, your website isn't exactly user friendly, when looking for a number to call.

    Response from Eran:

    Dear Michael,
I am truly sorry for your bad experience, and this is truly the first time such a thing happened with any of the dozens of guests I hosted in the past, (You can read the previous reviews I had on my aprtment). I had to leave in a rush to Israel and I am sorry again that Marcela stood you up. Such an event won't happen again I can guarantee you that, as a guest in the Airbnb community myself I am very sensitive about the fact that you will have access to the apt. as a guest, and Marcela screwed up. She is terribly sorry for that as well.

As for you reviewing you as a perfect guest, I don't have to meet you to review so, I text you the minute I saw you text message on my phone in Israel, and you texted that everything is cool and copacetic now and the situation had been resolved.
Good luck and all the best

Eran’s appartment fully matched our expectations. The appartment is comfortable and it provides all that is necessary for a good stay in N.Y. The location is excellent, right in Soho, close to several subway lines. Eran was very friendly: he would always ask if we needed something. The only inconvenience was the fact that the building’s heating system did not work one day and we felt quite cold. However out of 9 days, that was the only time it happened. Everything else was very positive. Eran was expecting us at the building, he gave each of us a set of keys and a bottle of champagne that we truly enjoyed. I greatly reccomend Eran’s appartment as a great place to stay in NY.

  • Eran was a great host, gave lots of recommendations and tips and any questions we had he was quick and willing to answer. The apartment was clean and comfortable and as expected from the photos. The Soho location was fantastic for shopping close to broadway and very close to the subway. There was construction work outside that was a little disruptive in the mornings if you were sleeping in like we were. Overall I would definitely recommend the apartment for when visiting NY.

  • This is only my second time using airbnb and I'm glad to report it was an excellent experience. Eran is a terrific host and his description of the apartment and photos were 110% accurate. The apartment felt like a home away from home. It was convenient to everything, clean and well kept with a great well lit view. I would highly recommend booking and we plan on staying again over the summer.
