Designed for staying cool

Beat the heat with the AC and portable fan.
The guest house is a converted 100-year-old barn on a historic property in the heart of Carmel, Indiana. Sitting on 8-acres of land, you can enjoy the big open space of farm living while still being only a few minute drive to downtown Carmel. Start the day with a cup of coffee while watching deer roam the property. Then take a short ten-minute walk to explore the many shops, bars, and restaurants located nearby.

Our desire is that our guests feel at home and relaxed during their stay.

The space
The guest house offers cozy accommodations for five guests, with three bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen with a small table and a living area to hang out or watch tv. The kitchen and living area are on the first floor with the bedrooms and bathroom on the second. The kitchen is stocked with all your basic cooking essentials. Bed linens and bath towels are all provided.

Guest access
Although we live on the property as well, the guest house is completely separate from the main house and has its own entrance with keyless entry. The guest house is connected to the side and above our detached garage. Although the garage is not available for guests, you can park on the gravel drive by the guest house. There is plenty of room for at least two cars.

Behind the guest house is a big open field where you can roam, explore the woods, or sit out and watch the stars. Please don’t climb over any fences as you will then be in our neighbors’ yards.

Also on the property is the main house, the original log cabin (over 200 years old), a treehouse, a barn, and a trampoline that are not available to guests. Although we ask you that you do not go in the cabin or on the porch, you are welcome to take pictures of it as it is a cool historical landmark.

Other things to note
As mentioned before, we do live on the property as well so you may hear us during the day as we work around the property (mowing the grass, working in the yard, etc.). But we promise to be respectful of your visit and keep the noise to a minimum.

We do have a dog that we let out to run in the field. He is very calm and extremely friendly. He loves everyone he meets.

Being on 8 acres brings all kinds of fun including seeing a variety of wildlife and creatures. Although we keep the house very clean, you may see one of our little creature friends in the fields or roaming around. Please let us know if you do and we will be happy to help scurry them along to where they belong.
