Spacious basement apartment stocked with everything you need. Amazing location near the heart of the Castro with convenient access to everything. Private entrance with keypad, so no keys to lose! José and Brian were great hosts.
José's place is a great hideaway on a quiet street in the Castro area of San Fran. Having its own private entrance is a bonus so you don't have to disturb anyone when coming home after dark. I'm usually someone who doesn't prefer lower-level units because I love daylight, but his place still received ample amounts of sunshine in the daytime. The full kitchen would be great for anyone, especially if you're on a longer trip and don't want to eat out for every meal. I'm not sure if this is the norm, but there were a few goodies already stocked in there (thanks!) along with dishes and anything else you could possibly need.
On top of really enjoying his place and the location, José and Brian are both really sweet, welcome guys. We arrived to find a welcome letter with some key points of the city and any information we might possibly need.
Great place - I'd highly recommend it to anyone :-)
Warm welcome began even before we arrived and continued all the way through. Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The apartment was exactly as advertised: comfortable, quiet, attractive, plenty of space, nice bathroom, lots of light even though it is right at ground level. All kinds of little extra touches provided, including complimentary bottle of wine, snacks, and all kinds of personal care items in the bathroom. Being in the Castro was wonderful: so lively, full of great restaurants and stores, easy access to public transit, beautiful neighbourhoods to walk in (if you're up for hill-climbing, lots of exercise too!). A great way to be introduced to San Francisco.
Jose and Brian were amazing hosts! They went above and beyond what was necessary to make me feel welcome and provide everything I could want or need during my stay. The apartment was quiet, clean, and super comfortable. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
I stayed the second time at this place. Again the hosts are really friendly and the location is perfect. We definitely recommend this place.
Highly recommended. Excellent location. Clean and comfortable, with nice amenities. Very comfortable bed, convenient kitchen and bath. Jose was a great host, conscientious and helpful. All this and big panda teddy bears!
Definitely recommend this place! José and Brian were amazing hosts. Their flat was clean, modern, comfy, and located in a prime area of the Castro. José was more than happy to send me restaurant recommendations and tell me about the neighborhood. I'm new to the city and they gave me a very warm welcome.
