Our best airbnb experience - Jose's place is exactly the same as pictured, tidy and neat, you can find so much sophisticated touches all over the place: the medical kit, the off-beat tour guide books, and the pandas! We were surprised how generously the snacks, soda and wine were provided. It is located in the heart of Castro, very near from muni bus stop and metro station while so quiet. We definitely wouldn't think twice to stay at his place if travel to SF anytime in the future.
My best Airbnb experience so far - no lie. Jose is a gracious guest, even going so far as to show me around the neighborhood when I arrived. Highly recommended!
I chose to stay here this year while in town for an annual convention, since my stay last year was so exceptional. I am so glad I chose this amazing studio again. Top quality. All needed amenities. In a great cozy walkable neighborhood. In walking distance of any type of food and top-tier cuisine + shopping!
With the proliferate availability of Uber to take you anywhere...why choose a hotel ever again?
I liked the space a lot but I did not have privacy there were people looking in the windows when I was showering and the hosts micro managed as far as having rules like no tv after 11pm I even have the list of house rules if you want to see them
Thanks for your feedback. We make every effort to make our guests comfortable and happy with their stay.
The shower does not have a window, but instead has a glass block wall which lets in natural light. While it is translucent, it is not transparent and you cannot see any detailed images through it.
The house rules are also posted with the listing. We only ask that there be no *loud* music, TV or parties after 11pm.
I had a wonderful stay at Jose's studio. Jose is a very attentive host who is always available to answer questions. I was in town for work and I arrived to a wonderful basket of goodies and drinks in the fridge. The studio is super clean, private and comfortable with a beautiful spa like bathroom and shower. If you happen to forget any toiletries, not to worry as you are sure to find what you need here, along with plenty of fluffy white towels. The neighborhood is vibrant with many places to eat and drink nearby. Overall, I give Jose and his studio 5 stars and would suggest it on your next trip to San Francisco!
Location, Location, Details? Sure, José's Studio is in the middle of all the actions in Castro and Mission and very quiet and safe to walk around at night and easy with transit (or just XUber it) ... But, I've never seen a host with such attention to details.
José thought about everything that a guest might need.
1) Free snacks and drinks (not just one or two as a gesture it was a basket and fridge full of them);
2) Every cabinet doors label with its content;
3) Wonderfully modern bathroom with a spacious shower (in which WE took full advantage on the Valentine's day :P);
4) Umbrellas (you will need it in SF with interesting motifs:);
5) A Safeway card that saved us $40 with our wine purchase there;
6) A very very cool and easy way to get in and out of the apartment
7) Top of the line toiletries (the same as I use as well as Four Seasons)
8) Apple TV with Netflix (the list really goes on and on and I'm running out on words limit).
We were lucky enough to meet José and his partner, they were as lovely as their apartment and more. Oh wait, they have the cutest little garden outside of the apartment just for your enjoyment with a blooming plum tree (is that what it is?) as a shade. Coming from Toronto in the middle of a horrid winter, where we had to dig ourselves out of snow everyday, to see only flower petals covering the ground was truly a dream.
Thank you José! We would really love to be back and again thanks for having us!
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Jose's studio. We never got to meet Jose due to our short stays over the week days. Despite of that, we liked his studio very much as it is located in a quiet street , very central and convenient location which has very good and easy access to public transportations. ( trams, subways and buses) .
The apartment is very clean and we can tell Jose n Brian put their effort into every small details to the place to ensure their guests have a comfortable sta. ( eg: Fridge filled with various types of good quality sodas n beers (F.O.C!), varieties of snacks n even a bottle of red wine! ) We were most impressed with the "Gourmet "coffee powder which they have got ready in the apartment which we have never seen such gesture in any Airbnb with the price you pay for it! From the apartment setting, you can tell the host(s) have excellent taste and very quality oriented and yet they are very generous to share that with their guests. You can tell they rent out their studio because they have their full passions to host their guests which is rare to come by especially in airbnb. Overall, we are impressed and very happy with this studio apartment. We shall recommend this apartment or stay at this apartment if we ever visit San Francisco again.
Great private studio on a quiet street, great location, easy to get in and out, and the owners give you snacks and wine for your stay! Highly recommended.
I had a fantastic stay here. Jose and Brian thought of everything - from thoughtfully-labeled light switches to delightful snacks to a starter Clipper card, they were excellent hosts. I would definitely stay here again, thank you!
We actually vacationed here for 2 weeks and it was the best decision we could have made. The apartment is amazing and has everything you could possibly need for a short or extended stay. The location could not be more perfect and is a short walk to awesome coffee, restaurants,grocery stores, transportation, The Castro, Dolores Park, and Mission district. It's on a very quiet street and even late at night feels very safe to walk around. Jose and Brian are exceptional hosts, always available, and even have a car that is available to rent should you want to take a day trip to wine country. SO CONVENIENT!!! We would not think twice about staying here again.
