I have helped several foreign visitors with English pronunciation and reading from a book that I wrote over the years of teaching beginning reading. I also have given them drawing and painting lessons, which the children especially enjoy. I have 300 piece large format jigsaw puzzles which many have enjoyed in their spare time. Some families have invited their friends that they know in the area for swimming and eating out in the back yard.
Some visitors have asked me to accompany them to places to help them find things, which I am happy to do.
Guests staying long enough to cook have use of my staples, condiments, and general food on hand.
I had a nice time staying in Marsha's house. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Her dog Dottie was the sweetest and so well behaved! It was great coming home after a long day to Marsha's homemade soup! I would stay here again. : )
I was in CA for a one-month assignment and my work schedule proved to be a tough one. Having such a beautiful and well-cared for home to return to after a long shift made all the difference! Marsha was kind, generous, and interesting. She was easy to communicate with, and was very understanding about my schedule. I highly recommend her as a host!
Marsha's home is a beautiful arts & crafts bungalow in a historic residential neighborhood It was a great retreat after several busy days driving to appointments in Southern Cal. Clean, comfortable, safe and cozy. You will enjoy getting to know Marsha; she is a delightful hostess!
Marsha was wonderful and her home was lovely. I couldn't have asked for anything better, my stay was very enjoyable.
Thank you very much for helping us to find Mme Marsha Cunningham, last month we passed wonderful time with her together. Her place is so clean, beautiful and comfortable, my daughter was enjoying the swimming pool where is in the back yard every day.
Marsha has a lovely garden, a lot of different kind of flowers! She is one of the best lady in this world. She took care me and my daughter very much, she even taught us English and drawing when she was free.
I still have to say something about her lovely dog- Dottie, she is so cute and quiet, always playing with my daughter. We love her very much as well. We are already starting miss them.
We will come to her again next summer. Thank you Dear Marsha! We love you and Dottie.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay a Marsha's beautiful home while visiting colleges in the area. We were very comfortable, enjoyed yummy breakfasts, and got great advice on Claremont eateries and other travel tips. We will definitely stay here if ever in the area again.
Marsha's bungalow is CHARMING! She has very artistically used color and nostalgic decor to create an inviting, cozy home-style feeling. She is extremely accommodating and helpful.
Enjoyed visiting Marsha's lovely home. Appreciated all the information on the area she provided as well as breakfast.
Marsha is an incredible host. We arrived tired and hungry from an early morning flight and Marsha welcomed us and made lunch for us, an unexpected treat. By the end of our four day stay, we felt as though we were old friends.
The house is a lovely historic bungalow in one of the historic districts in Pomona and Marsha's decorating skills shine, from the hand-done sponge painted floor in our guest bedroom to the old stove in the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the two of us. Marsha also gave us full run of the house and when she saw I liked to do jigsaw puzzles, she had a new one for me every evening.
We were there to plan our move to Claremont for my husband's new job at one of the Claremont Colleges and the location, although not in Claremont itself, is very convenient to the colleges. Marsha also has a wealth of information about the area which she shared with us.
This was our first time using Airbnb and I am a total fan. If all hosts were like Marsha, the hotels industry would be in danger.
