About This Listing
Experiement a true home in Venise.
This is not a hotel, nor a bed&breakfast. It is just a normal home that is often left over unoccupied , as I'm working in Paris.
Ideal for large groups of up to 9 people.
The apartment is ideally located close the the Rialto bridge. This very central location is close to many vaporretto (water bus) stops and you can walk almost to anywhere.
The surface is quite big (3200 ft² / 300m²) all on the same floor.
The apartment is composed of :
- A hall
- A living room
- A dinning room
- For bathrooms
- Five bedrooms
- The XVIII century room, double bed, view over the canal, private bathroom
- The Empire room, double bed, view over the canal, private bathroom
- The Chinese room, double bed, view over the court, very calm, private bathroom
- The blue room (much smaller room), two single bed, shared bathroom with the Turkish room
- The Turkish room (tiny room), one single bed, shared bathroom with the Blue room
- A fully equipped kitchen
- A laundry
The XVIIIème and Empire bathroom are brand new (Feb. 2014). I need to upload some pics (I know,....I'm late)
By the way, do not search for a TV, we don't have one, and we don't want to ! But I have put in place a wireless network for myself, and you can use it as much as you want.
Important to know, our upper neighbors do not like the noise. In particular at evening time. I rely on you to remain quiet and conscious of our upper neighbors.
Please be aware that the rooms are usually ready by 5PM (we need time to clean), but you can arrive earlier, rest in the living room, and leave your luggage home.
If you have more questions, the best way is to get in touch.
Once again, this isn't a hotel or a professional bed & breakfast. You're about to share the true Venetian life !
Once booking is done, we'll give you all the details about access
Interaction with Guests
Most of the time, I will not be home when you come.
If we're not in Venice at the time of your stay, a friend will welcome you, deliver the keys and answer any of your question. We'll give you all the details after the booking.
Our home is right in the center. So one's can walk form there almost to anywhere else in Venise.
Rialto bridge is a key point in Venise, as it is the mandatory way to go from one bank to the other.
Rialto is one of the main "station" for water buses. From this station, you can go in many directions.
Of course, there is no parking for cars in venise.
You can benefit from all the common areas such as the living room or the kitchen. What a nice time to lay in the living room, drinking a glass of prosecco !
As it is a private apartment, everything is furnished as home. Food, drinks, coffee...are available, and we rely on host to replace whatever you may have used.
The apartment exceeded all our expectations!!! Very convenient location, excellent interior which is impregnated with the spirit of time and history! Rest area near the balcony and dining room deserve special words! Antonio was very polite and answered all our questions. He met us at the train station and show the way to the apartment.
P.S. In the previous responses peoples wrote that the floor creaks in that apartment. Yes, it's true! BUT - it's magnificent!!!!! It adds special charm and feeling of old times. I am sure that it is difficult to find the apartment for big company better than this! I strongly recommend to visit this place - you will not regret!!!
We had an absolutely amazing time at this impressive Palazzo. The size of the place suited our large group and the seating/dining spaces were magnificent. The location was superb - central and easy to move around to all of Venice's sights. We couldn't have asked for a better booking. Highly recommended.
Palazzo in Venice was in a perfect location and the place and view were brilliant! We were travelling with 9 people and the house accommodated us all. The room overlooking the water was beautiful to sit and read in the afternoon sun. The host was very helpful in arranging transport from the airport to the place and back again. Amazing way to experience Venice.
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home in Venice. We were welcomed warmly by Tony who showed us to the house, got us acquainted with everything and made us feel very comfortable. The house is situated in a great area, very convenient to the Rialto and an easy jumping off point for good walks and vapoertti rides around the city. The home itself was well stocked with ample numbers of towels, linens, cups, plates, glasses etc...as well as a pantry with various food items and other necessities like toilet paper. It was a nice touch to have these things all readily available.
Like other reviews have said, it is an older house which means it has quirks. The floors are loud and creaky, water pressure is hit or miss but the beds are big and comfortable and there is lots of space to spread out and enjoy.
Because the house is situated right on a canal, it can be noisy in the mornings when various boats are out and about. That said, the Chinese bedroom and the smaller (single bed) bedrooms in the back look onto the courtyard and are very quiet and dark. We were traveling with children and had them in these rooms and it was perfect.
The palazzo lived up to all the pictures: it was in an idyllic, central part of Venice and was full of authentic charm.
We were met by Antonio, who was very efficient and friendly, taken to the apartment and shown the ins and outs of it (all pretty straightforward).
We had an incredible time in Venice, and even went canoeing down the canals (canoe place on same courtyard as palazzo, would really recommend).
Would recommend highly, the place is wonderful and everyone very responsive.

About the Host, Edouard
