About this listing
Experiement a true home in Venise.
This is not a hotel, nor a bed&breakfast. It is just a normal home that is often left over unoccupied , as I'm working in Paris.
Ideal for large groups of up to 9 people.
The apartment is ideally located close the the Rialto bridge. This very central location is close to many vaporretto (water bus) stops and you can walk almost to anywhere.
The surface is quite big (3200 ft² / 300m²) all on the same floor.
The apartment is composed of :
- A hall
- A living room
- A dinning room
- For bathrooms
- Five bedrooms
- The XVIII century room, double bed, view over the canal, private bathroom
- The Empire room, double bed, view over the canal, private bathroom
- The Chinese room, double bed, view over the court, very calm, private bathroom
- The blue room (much smaller room), two single bed, shared bathroom with the Turkish room
- The Turkish room (tiny room), one single bed, shared bathroom with the Blue room
- A fully equipped kitchen
- A laundry
The XVIIIème and Empire bathroom are brand new (Feb. 2014). I need to upload some pics (I know,....I'm late)
By the way, do not search for a TV, we don't have one, and we don't want to ! But I have put in place a wireless network for myself, and you can use it as much as you want.
Important to know, our upper neighbors do not like the noise. In particular at evening time. I rely on you to remain quiet and conscious of our upper neighbors.
Please be aware that the rooms are usually ready by 5PM (we need time to clean), but you can arrive earlier, rest in the living room, and leave your luggage home.
If you have more questions, the best way is to get in touch.
Once again, this isn't a hotel or a professional bed & breakfast. You're about to share the true Venetian life !
Once booking is done, we'll give you all the details about access
Interaction with Guests
Most of the time, I will not be home when you come.
If we're not in Venice at the time of your stay, a friend will welcome you, deliver the keys and answer any of your question. We'll give you all the details after the booking.
Our home is right in the center. So one's can walk form there almost to anywhere else in Venise.
Rialto bridge is a key point in Venise, as it is the mandatory way to go from one bank to the other.
Rialto is one of the main "station" for water buses. From this station, you can go in many directions.
Of course, there is no parking for cars in venise.
You can benefit from all the common areas such as the living room or the kitchen. What a nice time to lay in the living room, drinking a glass of prosecco !
As it is a private apartment, everything is furnished as home. Food, drinks, coffee...are available, and we rely on host to replace whatever you may have used.
this is my first experience using Airbnb
i stayed for 3 nights with my family of 5
the welcoming and set up process were very well organized (right level of email communication prior to arrival; useful transport and tips; lovely lady meeting us upon arrival, taking us to the flat and showing us all facilities)
the apartment fully matches the description so we were very happy with both the location (5 min walk to the Rialto) and the comfort of the flat.
spacious, clean and comfortable
high end location and decoration
i can only recommend for those who like character and premium accomodation
Tres bon accueil. Antonio nous a organise l'acheminement vers l'appartement et nous a accueilli au ponton le plus proche l'appartement. Tout s'est tres bien passe. Le fait d'avoir pu communiquer avec Antonio avant l'arrivee etait vraiment excellent.
We had the most amazing time at the palazzo. It was like a movie set. There were 8 of us and a small baby and there was plenty of room. Each room more gorgeous than the last. It is so tastefully decorated, and actually quite magical. It was very hot but there were fans in each room which were very welcome. The palazzo is in a fantastic location, very close to the Rialto bridge. We loved staying there and would do so again if we return to Venice.
The service on arrival was really great, we got picked up at a place easy to find and then brought to the apartment.
The apartment is spacious and beautifully furnished. In many ways it succeeded our - high to begin with - expectations.
Thanks Edouard for letting us be a part of the Serenissima for some days!
My children and I loved the experience of staying here. There was plenty of room for us all, and it was in a fantastic location. We felt very at home. Antonio took his time to show the apartment and was clear with his instructions. We also knew we could call on him if we needed to. We all feel we experienced the real Venice by staying at this apartment. The views from the windows were magnificent - straight out over the canal. Thanks Antonio!
We were a group of 8 (2 families travelling together) and wanted a really authentic Venetian experience. The apartment was fabulous, exactly as described and so unique. All the arrangements to meet were very easy and the communication was fantastic. We loved our time here, being so central and listening to the gondolas pass by. I would highly recommend this to anybody who is travelling in a group and wants something really different. Thank you Edouard and Antonio.

About the Host, Edouard
