Vintage yacht meets seaside cottage. This newly remodeled one bedroom lakeside condo provides stunning unobstructed lake views from new full-width patio doors.
Cook in a gorgeous new kitchen and then dine with a view of both the lake and a fire from the handsome 1960s teak dining set. Pass through the antique French doors to the beautifully detailed king bed.
Watch the sun rise and set from the south-facing private patio overlooking the shared lakefront and dramatic cliffs.
The space
This first floor unit in Chateau Leveaux, a vintage 1970s complex, is accessed via a shared hallway and a half flight of stairs. Amenities include a pool, hot tub, sauna, game room, fireplace lounge, and large lakeside balcony. A washer and dryer are available for longer stays. Although there is a TV in the common room, there is no TV in our unit: ideal for unplugging. The free WiFi was recently upgraded to 500 Mbps so is excellent for streaming on devices or working remotely.
The Gitchi-Gami State biking and hiking trail runs right through the property, and several of the North Shore's best 'peak' hikes, mountain bike trails, and ski trails (both Nordic and downhill) are right up the road. Many of MN's most popular state parks, golf courses, inland lakes, and even the BWCA are within day tripping distance.
Our cozy, romantic condo is filled with a mix of vintage, antique, and modern furniture, accessories, and original artwork. We ask that our guests be respectful and careful of the age of some of our furnishings by always using placemats, coasters, trivets, and cutting boards. While infants are welcome, our condo is not childproofed and not suitable for families with toddlers or young children. We also ask that you leave your skis and snowboards in your car as there is no storage space for them in the unit.
Sorry, no pets or emotional support animals due to owner allergies. Our pet policy and all other policies including no children, building quiet hours, and a two guest maximum are all enforced by a team of building managers who are on site 24/7.
Sauna, hot tub and pool are subject to closures for maintenance without prior notice.
This 1970's condo building has shared walls, so we suggest ear plugs for light sleepers. Note there is a fireplace in the unit, so there may be a lingering smell of fire/smoke from the creosote.

Guests have full access to the entire unit other than the lockout hallway closet (hooks in the hallway and a bedroom closet are available for guests).

We do not use Instant Booking. Please send your request to book and we will reply very quickly. Note that your reservation is not finalized until you have received a confirmation email or text with payment information from Airbnb.
Although our unit is newly remodeled, the 1970's building has thin walls, so we suggest ear plugs for very light sleepers.
Building amenities including the pool, hot tub, sauna, and game room may be closed for unplanned maintenance or emergencies without advanced notice. Building staff will reopen amenities as quickly as possible.
Although the building employs local pest control and we have new screens on the door and window, we are still in the northwoods, so there is no way to prevent every single "bug of the month" from entering the unit.
