About this listing
Artist loft is located just off trendy Abbot Kinney, 2 block from Venice Beach, and 3 blocks from Main Street. This is the heart of Venice Living. World class restaurants, Jo’s and Gelina, a stone's throw-away. Galleries and the beach right in your backyard.
The loft has a comfy bed and soft sheets. If you don't want to go to the awesome breakfast places in the hood, there is a small kitchen that is well-equipped. The modern vintage décor includes painted hardwood floors, tin ceilings and clean simple styling. The loft has a bedroom, dining area, sitting area and a work desk.
This loft is located above and looks down onto my architecture office/gallery so all your questions and concerns can be answered by a real person. It has a separate entrance with a steep staircase to the private loft. I have an amazing library of local architecture for touring around. Bikes, skateboard and surfboards available for a small fee.
The kitchen and bath are shared with me during business hours, Tuesday -Thursday. The shower is in a separate area. (see pictures) The shower and toilet rooms are small, circa vintage bathrooms.
Parking isn't too bad in this area but plan on parking once and just staying in the hood. This loft is in an urban neighborhood, expect to see lots of people walking around and hear street noises. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place for you. Everything is within walking/biking distance. There is a bus stop across the street for easy access to Santa Monica Pier and Promenade.
Wi-Fi provided. Free bikes and boogie boards provided. No laundry on site but it can be provided for a small fee.
-No shoes in the loft
-No smoking inside the building.
-Please separate trash in the provided trash cans. There are both recycling and landfill waste cans. Please put waste in the appropriate can.
-Please do not put anything in the toilet other than toilet paper.
-No partying please... This loft is not meant for drinking parties...thus: ABSOLUTELY NO PARTYING! Having a friend or two over for wine / dinner is totally fine, but no obnoxiously loud drinking sessions.
-Please be respectful to neighbors.
-Lock bikes at all times.
About the Host, Isabelle
I am an architect and an environmentalist. I have a cool Airedale dog named Captain Cookie.
While I have lived in Venice for a long time, I have traveled a lot. Since I am originally from Belgian and I have family in France as well, I go to Europe regularly. I lived in Hungary for 1 year. My husband’s dad lives in India.
I gotta say. Venice is really a wonderful place to live. I feel blessed and can't wait to share my City with you. By the way, architecture here is really interesting.
