The Space

Enjoy one of the nicest areas in Munich, Isarvorstadt. Our apartment sits on the bank of the Isar River were you can enjoy lovely walks along the tree lined walkway and bike paths. We feel lucky to be in such a beautiful park like location with easy access to center city.

Public transportation is convenient and easily accessed. The U1 and U2 Frauenhoferstrasse Station is a short 5 minute walk from our place, a bus stop is less than a 1/2 block away and tram is 2 blocks. A Bakery store is 1 block, grocery stores are 2 blocks away as well as several wonderful eateries are nearby. Plenty of attractions are easily within walking distance like the Deutches Museum, Marienplatz and many more. If you are visiting for conventions the U1 and U2 gets you to the Olympia Park directly and in the opposite direction U2 gets you to the Messe Riem (Neue Messe) directly with no transfers. Oktoberfest fans can also get there within 15mins. using the U1 with a quick transfer.

This newly remodeled 2 bedroom "altbau" (old building) apartment is a little treasure on the Isar. Great detail has been made to bring back this apartment to it's original splendor. High ceilings boast ornamental plaster moldings throughout. It has a large open kitchen with huge colonial style windows. The bathroom is adorned with a rich marble counter top and tiles and European crafted fixtures. This apartment is tastefully decorated with style and comfort in mind. • I stayed at Wanda and Nic's flat for a few days with a co-worker, while visiting a trade-show in Munich. There was the perfect amount of space for the two of us. The flat was VERY close to the subway with plenty to do within walking distance. Wanda was promptly there when I arrived jet lagged in the morning. She was very welcoming and full of tons of helpful information of places to visit around the neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Wanda and Nic are a lovely couple who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The apartment is beautifully decorated however not practical. Both doors leading to the small bedrooms have glass doors which provides no privacy and anyone wishing to retire early is disturbed by the lighting in the lounge or by the TV if it is on. The bathroom is beautiful but again not practical. If you use the shower be prepared to have everything soaked in the bathroom due to the shower spraying out over the glass frame. I would expect a washing machine and dryer to be installed in an apartment especially if you are renting it for 3 or more days. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances however only two wine glasses and no coffee mugs.

  • A beautiful apartment in an outstanding location. Lovely view of St Maximillian's church when sitting in the dining room. Step outside and you look over the Isar river. We never met our hosts but they certainly organised everything perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Munich!

  • Wanda was a great host, meeting us when we arrived, very relaxed and welcoming. The apartment is lovely and incredibly well positioned. 15 minute walk to marienplatz or, if you don't like walking, there is an UBahn station just around the corner which is 2 stops to marienplatz or hauptbahnhof. Nice bakeries and restaurants very close by. Everything was excellent and our family of 5 had a wonderful week on Munich.

  • Very good apartment, clean renewed in a well comunicated place.
Bus and sub in a couple of minutes from apartment, directly to the city center.
Very nice host. Thanks for all.

  • We picked the apartment for its proximity to the Deutsches Museum, but all we can say about the apartment is WOW. Wanda and Nic weren't in town on the day we arrived, but they arranged for David to let us in and give the tour. What a beautiful place to stay in Munich. Fast Wi-Fi. There's a small kiosk two blocks away on Fraunhoferstrasse if you feel like getting a late-night beer or ice cream cone. For laundry, there's a laundromat a few blocks away on Baldeplatz. This was by far the nicest place we stayed at during the whole trip.

  • Nice apartment in a great location. We were there for Oktoberfest and it's only a 20 minute walk to get to the fairgrounds but bus and subway stops are nearby too. The central plaza area is also only about a 20 minute walk away and the river across the street has a path that runs along it that was very nice. The bathroom and kitchen were clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We're looking forward to staying here again in the future when we come back to Munich.

  • The apartment was gorgeous and exactly as advertised, and then some. Clean, spacious, bright, with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Location is quiet but central enough to walk to all the major attractions: about 15 minutes to Marienplatz by foot. Wanda was an amazing host, gracious and accommodating. She even allowed us to check in a few hours earlier as our flight landed early morning. I would highly recommend choosing this apartment for visiting Munich!

  • Wanda and Nic were great hosts. They were ready for us when we got there, made us feel at home, and provided some great tips. This was all of our first AirBnB experience and I don't know if it can get much better. The apartment was exactly like it looked on the pictures and the location was just perfect. Overall, great experience!!!! Thanks Wanda and Nic

  • Wanda and her daughter were very accommodating. I enjoyed their apartment, and only wish that I had more time to spend in Munich. And yes, I will be back!
