  • It was an incredible treat to stay in Jim's cabin. We had never been to Port Angeles or Port Townsend and it made the perfect base for exploring the gorgeous locale. To be honest, we didn't leave during our second day there although we had planned to go hiking. Instead, we just grabbed some local steak and shrimp, barbequed it on the porch, and kicked back while reading, watching movies, drinking scotch and most of all just watching the river go by. So relaxing. Highlights included the privacy, the fireplace, the very comfy bed and the delicious cookies on arrival. We absolutely cannot wait to return someday! Thank you for a lovely time!

  • The cabin by the stream is comfortable and nicely furnished. The quiet is most delightful. This is a great getaway place for a couple.

  • This was a lovely cabin for our stay in Port Angeles. It is extremely clean and the kitchen and bathroom seems newly updated.

Our favorite part was the fireplace - perfect for a cozy evening. The cabin had enough space for two people and a little dog. The small back porch was lovely and would be even more excellent in the summertime.

The general location was great for exploring Olympic Park, Lake Crescent, and the Dungeness Spit. The only thing I would change about this cabin is the location; I would have preferred it to be tucked in the woods, further away from the neighborhood. Despite the proximity, we never heard neighbors or cars nearby.

  • Had an amazing time at this little cabin. So cozy and we are so thankful that Jim allowed us into his home for a few days. Great location- only a short drive to the park, and easy access to downtown Port Angeles for dinner. Falling asleep to the sound Of the river is very soothing

  • This cozy little dwelling was a welcome sight for our road weary eyes. We arrived after 10 hours of rainy coastal driving, chilly and exhausted. What a treat to enter the cabin and find delicious cookies and a toasty fireplace awaiting us. We immediately snuggled into the couch with the fleece blankets provided (was tempted to bring one of those home in my suitcase, Jim) and passed out. For some strange reason we both found the couch THE place to sleep. For the sake of the nature purists, I'd say the person across the stream should really hurry up with their renovations or clean up their yard; it really is the only unbeautiful thing around here. I would also recommend (and maybe this is common sense for people in PNW territory) having AWD or 4WD, if you are renting a car for this stay. The driveway and lane leading to it are gnarly without it.

We would stay here again. Thanks so much, Jim!

  • What a wonderful sweet cabin on the river! We had a very relaxing time and found the area very quiet and private. We had a great day exploring the Hoh Rain Forest and Ruby Beach and then to top it all off we had an amazing dinner in town at Sabai Thai. Back at the cabin we were able to watch a movie on Netflix and enjoy some of their cookies. It really was a perfect weekend!

  • The house was cozy and warm, with a fire and a plate of homemade cookies to greet us. It was a lovely place to stay for a weekend away. I recommend it.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Jim's cabin. Everything was very clean and tidy upon our arrival. The kitchen was well equipped and the gas fireplace was very cozy for our evenings. We hope to stay here again on our next trip to the Olympic National Park.
