Jim's Cabin is a lovely riverside retreat that has been furnished with love and taste, providing a cozy homebase for travellers exploring the Olympic National Park and surroundings. We had everything we needed and loved to sip our morning coffee on the outside deck by the river. Great place that we would definitely choose again!
We really enjoyed this cabin! It was exactly as advertised - which is to say cozy, secluded, clean, tasteful, and homey. We especially loved sitting on the deck over the river. Jim and Pam left us very clear information and instructions, plus delicious cookies! We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this spot for others!
This cabin had beautiful scenery around it. Short drive to Olympic Park. The cabin was clean and Jim was a great host!
Walking into tasty cookies was wonderful after we had been a little thrown off by the neighborhood we drove through to get there. Once there though, we had everything we needed; Jim even had a binder with all the details about the house and the area too. In the end, we found it very peaceful and relaxing. Nothing like enjoying a good craft beer and grilling out on the deck! We also enjoyed being close to Port Angeles for a nice lunch outing.
Probably the homiest-feeling rental we've ever experienced. Jim is a master at making his guests feel welcome and comfortable. From the delicious cookies that greet you upon arrival to the looseleaf binder bursting with information about the Olympics region to the nice furnishings to the well-stocked kitchen, the place has an extremely warm ambience. And that deck. Oh that deck. I wish we could have taken the deck and the river/creek that runs right by it home with us. We also appreciated the excellent gas grill on the deck. In fact, we ended up grilling on all but one of our six nights.
Others here have mentioned the, um, non-touristy, neighborhood you drive through to get to the home. We came to see it as strangely charming but whatever: The house is set on a private lot, and when you're there, you see or hear little but the river.
There was one problem with our vacation: It was too darn short. We could have used two weeks in Jim's special house we'll never forget.
Thank you, Jim.
This cabin was superb and exactly what we had hoped for. It was private, spacious, and very well equipped with everything we needed. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
