  • We had a great experience. Patti Cohen is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She is thoughtful, welcoming and funny. This was our first airbnb experience, and we feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful host. This was a particularly fun experience for us because we're dog lovers and were totally charmed by Patti's two energetic Jack Russells. Our room was comfortable, and the location is great - very close to the highway but tucked away in a beautiful rural town. Patti made us feel completely at home, and we already miss her. We highly, highly recommend Patti and her home to anyone traveling in the area.

  • Patti's house is off the beaten path, but convenient to nice hiking in Winslow State Park, canoeing on nearby lakes, and, surprisingly -- given the rustic feel -- the Interstate. We enjoyed chatting with Patti, but had our privacy and quiet too. She was very accommodating and we appreciated her sharing access to her kitchen and living area. Although her dogs are somewhat excitable, she did a good job creating space for the two- and four-legged parties to share space congenially.

  • My boyfriend and I spent one night in Patti's house. Patti is the perfect host, was sensitive to our needs but gave privacy. It was great talking to her and share our travel stories. The surrounding is beautiful and the house is located 5 min walk from a pond and a great farm you can visit. The house is big and the room is clean. We would definitely recommend Patti, and wish we could go back.

  • A quiet, semi-rural setting (but close to the interstate) and a welcoming hostess.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Patti's house. I felt quite at home. It was cozy, comfortable and very relaxed, not to mention it's in the beautiful town of Sutton, a lovely, sleepy town with a beautiful lake and old cemetery. We loved her dogs too! We slept so well and woke up to fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and the best coffee. She even provided gluten free bread (which I requested ahead of time) with delicious ginger jam.

  • Quaint place owned by a warm-hearted lady. Full breakfast, lovely garden, pink terrace, nearby lake, what more can one ask for?

    June 2013
  • Patti is an excellent hostess, and was very accommodating. WE cam in late at night, and were very exhausted, and she greeted us with a cup of tea or a glass of wine.
Our accommodations were on a separate floor and private which is a plus. Their is a private bath, which was nice, and since we had our teenage son with us, their was an extra bed for him, however , the bed we had was a double, so be sure to check on that if you are used to a queen or king. I didn't , and it made for an uncomfortable sleeping night for us, though the beds themselves were very comfortable.

  • Patti is a great human being, very interesting, smart and social. She is a good host, and made us feel welcome and very accommodated. Her farmhouse is charming funky and quirky. It was a bit of harsh arrival, since Mie had been sick prior to this stay, and the room was very cold. But Patti provided us with a small heater, and we decided to give the full 4 days a go. It was never regretted. The area is stunning and so cozy. A walk around the lake is mandatory. The retro diner nearby provided a great breakfast experience, although Patti's kitchen was our favorite hangout. Her pair of Jack Russells are very sweet and lively,
we would visit Patti any time.

  • We had such a great experience at Patti’s charming house in Sutton. We were searching for a quiet place in a small town to write. And we found it exactly plus the inspiration that emerges from this spaceful, restful and artistic place all made out of wood. The environment leaded us to enjoy great and peaceful moments with the comfort of a home alike with a touch of personal creativity.

Patti is an outgoing and passionate woman that everybody would enjoy to meet and her two little dogs were adorable! This place has a lot to offer to anyone that wants to get away from the city blues. We share great moments together !

We also went to New London: people were sweet and all the little shops were fun to discover. A bonus is the ease of getting organic and local (email hidden)-op or few cafes.

Just don’t forget to bring one more clothe if you come in winter  !
    Have fun !
