We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. This is a cute house with a lot of personality. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with lots of space. Patti was extremely accommodating and so was her family who also stayed the weekend. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for reasonably priced accommodations during a visit to sunapee!
Patti is a personable, attentive and kind host(ess)! She communicates well which made check in easy. She even went the extra mile to help me dry out my clothes by her wood stove after getting rain soaked on a hike. The 1850's farmhouse is amazing though there is virtually no internet or phone connection in the guest room which shares a bathroom with the other guests upstairs. The little "watchdogs" yelp as folks come and go so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The bed is ultra comfy with quality linens. Patti's local suggestions were spot on and a lovely lake is a block from her house with a picturesque three-mile loop worthy of a morning walk. The area is adorable As is the corner store by her house. Great value! Thanks, Patti!
If you're looking for a place to stay in the Mount Sunapee region, stay with Patti. It's rare that I feel motivated to rate a place or write a review, but I wanted other people to know what a fantastic host Patti is so that others can have the same charming experience I and my fellow traveler had.
First thing's first, despite having to work in the morning, Patti was awake to greet our late arrival. Walking through the door she made us feel welcomed straight away with an offer of apple pie in the communal kitchen area, where she was entertaining two other guests. In the morning, she woke up much earlier than she needed to in order to make coffee for me and my friend since we had an early reservation for a zip-line canopy tour. These simple touches may sound trivial, but they made the experience -- my first with AirBNB -- comfortable and put us in a happy state of mind. Patti genuinely cared about our experience with her.
The room was spacious, clean, the quilt so warm that neither of us wanted to get out of the cozy bed. We had fresh towels, plenty of hot water, and pleasant company in the other guests (and two of the sweetest Jack Russel Terriers you're ever going to meet). All in all, this was less like staying at a bed and breakfast or renting rooms and more like going for a visit home. Thank you Patti for such a great experience!
Patti's home was a delight to stay at. My wife and I really enjoyed the old farmhouse atmosphere and Patti's hospitality. We had an adventure, met a wonderful lady and her two beautiful dogs. The accommodations where clean and what you would expect for an old farmhouse. The bed was comfortable and the coffee in the morning was great. The dogs where well behaved, a little noisy at first but once they became comfortable with us in about 2 minutes, they settled down and never made any noise at night. We would definitely stay with Patti again
Patti was a wonderful host. She made us coffee and delicious scones. What a treat! We had a great time sitting and talking for what seemed like hours. The pups were great too.
What do I say? Patti is an exceptional person, just amazing, as are her home and dogs. You are in for a true delight. And North Sutton is one of my favorite little New England villages. My stay was an exceptional experience, and I plan to return again and again.
