We had a wonderful 11 days at John and Lisa's place. It was a perfect base from which to explore NYC - only one block from the subway for easy access to Manatten. After a day of hectic sightseeing we could retreat to this family oasis in Brooklyn. The house is very spacious and beautifully furnished. We loved looking at all the books and artworks.
John and Lisa were very generous and thoughtful hosts. They gave us a lot of very useful information about the local neighborhood, which has grocery stores and excellent restaurants within blocks of the house. They also left a box of treats for us to sample on our arrival. Overall a perfect Brooklyn holiday. Thanks John, Lisa and kids!
I was 4 weeks at John's home with some family and friends...the house is fantastic, very big, clean, tidy and with all the things that someone can need to live in a house....because it is the house where the Philp's family lives during the year...The five rooms are very comfortable and the most of them have a own (email hidden)e metro is a two minutes walking, and only 15 minutes to the center of Manhattan(in metro), and there is a big supermarket very close and a plenty of restaurants in the next block...We have enjoyed a lot the backyard during our dinners with his barbecue and drinking some cocktails watching the sky and the stars....We have had a lot of good moments in his gameroom...we have spent a lot of time in his front steps drinking beer and planning the next day...I miss a lot the house, the neighborhood, Brooklyn and New York and I am sure that if I come back with my family the next year and the Philp's home is free I'll rent it again
