Welcome to our cozy and stylishly upgraded two-bedroom apartment on the upper floor! This is the ideal furnished rental in the Country Club Manor section of the upscale Bixby Knolls area in Long Beach. Built in 1943, this charming unit underwent a complete remodel in 2020, including a top-notch kitchen renovation, an upgraded bathroom, and a mini split AC/heat system in the living room. Conveniently located in the heart of Bixby, it offers easy walking access to shopping, restaurants & bars.

The space
This beautifully remodeled, stylishly furnished two-bedroom, one-bathroom upper apartment is located in a quiet complex in the upscale and desirable Bixby Knolls. Just steps away, you’ll find the multi-million dollar estates in Los Cerritos and Virginia Country Club, where Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and American Pie movies were filmed.

The apartment underwent a complete remodel in 2020, featuring an awesome kitchen, upgraded bathroom, refinished original hardwood floors, a mini-split AC and heat unit in the living room, and modern-style ceiling fans. We’ve also added new space heaters with fans and electric blankets for our winter guests. And, portable AC units in each bedroom to keep you cool in Summer! As well as, the mini split unit for the main living spaces.

The apartment is fully furnished in mid-century modern furniture, including a West Elm couch, two armchairs, and a modern dining table that seats four. A 42-inch Smart HDTV with a Roku TV allows you to connect to your streaming TV subscriptions.

The kitchen boasts new cabinets, white quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances with a gas range, a dishwasher, and a fridge with an ice dispenser. It’s fully stocked with a Keurig coffee maker, coffee and tea PODS, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, a toaster, a blender, and more.

Both bedrooms have new queen-sized pillow-top beds, dressers, ceiling fans, and nightstands. One bedroom even has a mid-century desk for a workspace.

The remodeled bathroom features a shower/tub combo and is stocked with fresh towels, a hair dryer, hand soap, travel-size soap and shampoo (starters), and plenty of extra linen, blankets, and towels in the hall cabinet.

The apartment includes an all-in-one washer/dryer unit, and the building offers a completely free laundry room. Just behind the building, you’ll find Trader Joe’s, Jersey Mike’s Sandwiches, Crunch Fitness, and 7-Eleven. Opposite each other, you’ll also find Starbucks and Yogurtland. There are many other dining and food options, including local restaurants and cool spots like Steelcraft, Knolls Restaurant, Lola’s Mexican Cuisine, Taboon Mediterranean, and EJ’s Pub. We’re just minutes from Long Beach Airport and 20 minutes to LAX or Orange County Airports. It’s a super central location to everything Southern California has to offer! One parking space is dedicated to the unit in the well-lit alley behind the unit. Additional parking for guests is available on street - which can be tight at peak times. Single family homes are 5-6 buildings down - rest assured there is always street parking available. Pay attention to street sweeping schedule posted.

Other things to note
This furnished apartment provides the essentials to get you started, but if you’re staying longer, you’ll need to plan for additional items like soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. The living room features a mini split AC/heat system, while the bedrooms and dining room have ceiling fans. The bedrooms also have portable AC units and space heaters as needed. In Long Beach, most apartments don’t have air conditioning, so the living room unit helps keep the apartment generally cool (or warm). We offer a very affordable alternative to a hotel. The 775 square foot apartment is spacious enough for two people, but it will feel a bit cramped with four guests, especially since there’s only one bathroom. Please note that all guests must have favorable Airbnb reviews to book and sign our rental contract. Also, the person who booked the reservation must be also staying on site. Thank you!

Bixby Knolls is located the northern section of Long Beach. The area is a diverse, upscale and suburban with a blend of historic estate homes, modest tract homes and multifamily units - the immediate area is multifamily with single family tract homes 400 ft up the tree-lined street. To the South the street is multifamily then large custom homes on large lots. The property is directly behind a shopping center with Trader Joe's, MOD Pizza, Jersey Mike's, Crunch Fitness and 7-11. There is electric car changing in that parking lot. On Atlantic Avenue, you can walk to Starbucks, Restaurants, Bars, Breweries and Shopping. There is also the famous SteelCraft made of shipping containers with coffee, beer and food vendors and outdoor seating. The property is a straight shot down Atlantic to Downtown Long Beach. There’s so much to nearby to do/see in and around Long Beach!
