The property is a three bedroom semi-detached house. It is situated in the attractive town of Portstewart on the majestic north coast of Ireland. The town has a picturesque harbour and promenade with a two-mile long beach. On the Promenade you will find a children play area, paddling pool and more. The house is off the main road , literally about a six minute/0.8km walk to the Promenade.
There is an open plan Living/Dining Area with comfortable seating, open fire and a separate Kitchen downstairs. Upstairs has two double and one single bedrooms and bathroom . Outside there is a garage where you can hang your wet suits, store your surfboards, bicycles, etc. There is quite a large front side garden and enclosed side and rear gardens to keep the little ones safe. On the patio there is garden furniture (table and chairs). Fuel for the open fire is also available in the coal-house.
Portstewart is a quite, sedate resort, with a picturesque harbour and promenade and to the west is the sweeping two-mile stretch of Portstewart Strand. Great golf courses including Royal Portrush venue for Irish Open 2012. Travel east and within 20 minutes you can visit Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery, Giant's Causeway. Travel a little further see Carrig-a-rede ropebridge and Ballycastle and a little boat trip to Rathlin Island and do a spot of Bird Watching. Portstewart has wonderful coastal walks to Blue Flag beaches, swim, surf or lie in the dunes and soak up the sun. If you want to play, there is Tennis, Bowls, Putting, Sea Fishing trips from the local harbour, surfing on Portstewart Strand or for a change try Portrush and of course Championship Golf courses in Portstewart and Portrush. Go west to Derry / Londonderry and Co.Donegal for more magnificent scenery. Come during May for the International North West 200 Motor Cycle Race Week; June for the 2012 Irish Open Golf Tournament; July for the N.I. Milk Cup football Tournament and 'Keswick at Portstewart'; September for the N.I. International Air Show. These are just a few of the highlights. Remember each season gives a different experience.

The rental charge paid includes the reasonable use of electricity and heating. Any excessive usage will incur an extra charge.
The owners will not accept any liability whatsoever for accidents or injury arising out of the use or hire of the house and anyone using the house does so entirely at their own risk. The hire of the house is subject to this condition.
RESERVATION DEPOSIT - A reservation deposit of 30% of the total rental value is required. This must be received within seven (7) days of booking the holiday property. Please make payments by personal cheque, bank transfer or via email through Paypal..
DAMAGE DEPOSIT/BALANCE OF PAYMENT – The balance of the total rental value plus a £200 damage deposit must be paid eight weeks prior to arrival.
The damage deposit is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
· No damage is done to property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
· No charges are incurred due to illegal activity, pets or services rendered during the stay.
· All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in rubbish bin, and soiled dishes are washed and put away.
· All keys are left in the agreed place and the house is left locked.
· All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
· No linens are lost or damaged.
· No early arrival or late departure.
· The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement.
- No excess use of electricity or heating.
CANCELLATION POLICY - The deposit and balance will be returned in full if we can re-book the house for those dates. We recommend you take out travel insurance so that in the event that you cannot travel the costs can be recouped.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons
INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup. Facilities fees are included in the rental rate.

Retired "gentleman', interest in playing Lawn Bowls, walking. I enjoy watching movies on my home cinema system, well I have a surround sound system and currently a CRT television nothing really grand.
I enjoy listening to music of most genres, classical to sixties (although not rap, or that kind of music).
I enjoy going to musicals in our local very beautiful old Opera House.
Maybe not a good advert for Airbnb, but since retiring, my wife and I enjoy cruising. My son who is a bit of a globe trotter has just introduced me to Airbnb so that experience is ahead of me.
I have only this year been letting my home out for payment and the response from my guests has been very positive, everyone has really enjoyed themselves. Some were experiencing the glorious North Coast with the Giant's Causeway for the first time (they will be back). For 4 years prior to this year the house was used by family and friends, but now we have opened it up to our worldwide family as well.
