The Abbot Kinney strip is getting to be the most popular boutique and restaurant strip on the West Side. Lots to choose from and easy to walk to.
We are three blocks from main bus lines going into Santa Monica, the airport and downtown LA.
We've worked hard to create a "home away from home" for you at a fraction of what a simple hotel room in the area would cost. Please treat it accordingly and don't leave a terrible impression after yourself.
YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN EXTRA $25 WHEN:
- you leave dirty dishes in the sink
- you leave bikes in worse condition than you found them
- brake boogie boards and don't replace them
- you leave sand on furniture or floors
- brake dishes or glasses and don't notify us to find out what their value is
- leave the house in "trashed" condition, with garbage and recycle items everywhere, wet towels on the floor, etc.
- change the schedule settings on the thermostat
- leave lights on while you're away
This is a private home on quiet, residential street, friendly property. This is not a place for late-night parties. You are absolutely welcome to have dinner and drinks on the patio, as long as you can observe the neighbors' need for sleep.

There are two adult and two kids' bicycles that you may use. But you are responsible for repairing damage that occurs from careless or inappropriate handling and use.
The Big Blue House was great! It's one unit out of a few others in the house, but we had total privacy, a beautiful little back patio and a very clean place. Enough space for two couples easily or a family! Location was absolutely perfect - couldn't have asked for a better one!
I really liked the neighborhood. Very safe and a short drive to the beach and all of the restaurants.
The blue house is absolutely adorable, right in the heart of Venice. The great location meant we easily walked past the vintage stores and little cafés along Abbott Kinney to the beach every day. Anything you need is right around the corner. The house itself is lovely, all we needed for a ten day stay. The double bed was big enough for two friends to share so we could keep the sofa folded away for convenience. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to explore and enjoy Venice and nearby Santa Monica.
Great location in Venice. Close to the beach (15mins walk) and Abbott Kinney (5mins walk). George and Thea were great hosts offering loads of information about check in but also the local area, plus they were happy to answer any questions we had.
We had such a lovely stay at the Big Blue House. Situated in a really nice, quiet part of Venice, its a short walk from Abbott Kinney, and the flat is homely and cosy. Just what we needed for our short stay in LA.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Run by a couple of French women, the cafe offers great imported food products and very tasty food. Reasonably priced.
Best kept secret in Venice, Marla's is a small place where the owner cooks everything on site. Bring your own wine/beer. Food is excellent, quiet, romantic atmosphere. A night to remember.
Best shopping and restaurant street in LA. Super trendy, can be on the pricey side. But it's a must see.
You've seen it in many movies, now check it out in person! Street performers, a mini-amusement park, lots of food, and awesome views. Go early in the morning to spot dolphins.
Use our bikes to ride from Venice all the way to Santa Monica and further. Check out the boardwalk with all its mini-shops, restaurants and endless variety of people.
A splendid shopping experience on the West Side. End your spree with a meal on the upper floor of the mall - the view is breathtaking.
Strangest little museum you'll ever visit. Go during the mid-morning hours, so you can also grab some tea and treats on the upper terrace. A very unique experience.
A great way to take in the most beautiful parts of LA without having to deal with traffic.
Where all the stars have stars on the pavement.
If you're in Hollywood at night, stop by the Observatory. Below you the boulevard of stars. Above you, the real thing. Make sure you check out one of their video shows, they're truly spectacular.
Once a forgotten waterway, the LA River is now seeing a major rebirth. Check out this beautiful river walk and keep an eye out for birds and local wildlife. In the middle of LA!
